8/5/2025 9:21pm If everything we think we know is wrong, and he's redefining suspension kinematics, you know what would be super cool? A graph. Or a force diagram. You know, what you learn in the first year of an engineering program. Please show us a graphical representation of why everything we think we know is wrong.

8/5/2025 2:12pm That's not even close to the worst one! Fox currently mixes metric and imperial sized shims in the same shim stack...italian threaded bottom brackets were/are 36mm by 24 threads per inch....no one is truly all metric or all imperial

8/4/2025 11:18am Having hit the ground in everything from the original Answer full upper body kit w/ JT Racing knee sleeves to Dainese full body w/ bibs to nothing except knee pads for most of the last decade, I can confidently say that you ONLY land on the part of your body that's uncovered. Rode the lift at Beech this weekend. TLD RockFight & TLD Raid knee pads on, I fell zero times & took a DIRECT, bloody hit to the shin on my last run directly below the 4 BandAids I wear on that shin that virtually no skin on it...

8/4/2025 11:16am Travelizer or Linearizer? 😂 I swear, Cornelius just fuck with us with those names. I also add more air pressure with my max++ volume air cap setup.

8/1/2025 7:49am You might have dodged the bullet. I naively ordered them from Rapha's "US site", and now they are stuck in the US customs hell without any ETA for delivery. FFS Rapha, a bit more transparency about overseas shipping to US customers would be helpful.

7/31/2025 1:37pm I feel your pain. I was forced to switch to 44mm offset when I got an Intend fork. The 37mm fork now lives on my HT.

7/31/2025 1:25pm I have a new-ish 29 fork with 37mm offset and you can have one, too. You just have to built it from the parts yourself.

7/30/2025 10:57am Yeah, if you're talking about center tread punctures, in that case lower pressure is better like notthatbryan said. Imagine poking an overinflated balloon with a pen and then poking an underinflated balloon. More pressure is going to stretch out the the balloon and hold the surface under tension, making cuts easier. Sorry, I didn't open the Enduro Mag test, I assumed "puncture resistance" referred to pinch flats, as those are 90% of the flats I see in the wild.

7/30/2025 10:52am Link doesn't work in the US but I am interested in your long-term experience. I have the FSA honey bearings, and they definitely work. I also have a tube of Nyogel damping grease and yep, is has the consistency and stickiness of tree sap, PITA to work with.

7/30/2025 10:47am So FSA is selling these special bearings that comes with "magic" sauce inside them, price is not crazy in our hobby, however guess what, I already own two bearings that are perfectly fine. Aliexpress, here I come. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007148196927.html Bought a 30g tub, enough for maybe 10 pairs of headset bearings. Removed seals from headsets bearings, cleaned some grease from them, filled them with some of the damping grease, almost to the top. Put the seals back. Reassembled the headset, tightened headset preload bolt to higher torque than normally (5nm). Voila, steering damper done, works as intended, feels great( not noticeable...

7/28/2025 1:06pm After. I slid a thicker nylon wire through the tube alongside the housing, then tied the paracord to one end and I pulled the paracord through the tube. It wasn't as easy as it sounds but it worked well.

7/28/2025 6:24am That's a clever idea. On my Santa Cruz with tube-in-tube, I do a thin, tight wrap of self-fusing silicone tape on the cable/hose just outside the ends of the tubes and then wiggle the wrapped tape just into the tube ends. That quiets it down. But I'm sure the exact size of the tubes and how the ends are configured means that won't always work. My Madonna V3 with external routing and machined clamps is easily the best cable/hose management I've experienced. But we'll have 480 rear center, gearbox-equipped frames with USD forks before external routing comes back.

7/26/2025 8:18pm That makes sense! No tubes in mine, but the paracord got me thinking! I’m going to look into that some more and maybe do the foam trick. Thanks for the input!

7/25/2025 7:12am My frame already has tubes for internal routing, but the hoses rattle inside anyway. The tubes are too narrow for foam liner so just a bit of extra padding provided by the paracord fixed the issue. I pulled the paracord through the tubes with the brake hoses already in - I was too lazy to cut the hose / use...
