Thunder Mountain bike park a.k.a. Berkshire East in MA must be doing OK. They are always packed on the weekends, keep building fun stuff, invest in infrastructure, etc. Being close to both Boston and NYC must be working fine for them. IIRC they just acquired a stake in Burke mtn VT, too.

DO IT! That said, I am super happy with the SV8 on the Bronson. Head and shoulders above the Avalanche Bomber.

That is correct - they are technically a progressive spring when in the softest setting, and turning the dial closes the soft "section". So you have the stiff part for the whole travel. So it probably didn't feel too progressive when closed up, it was just feeling harder

In my mind shimano brakes are synonymous with “brakes that might suddenly decide to bite 5-10mm closer to the handlebar” I have 8120’s on my Sentinel and they’re being replaced with GR4’s once I pick them up from the LBS tonight.

Without even watching the videos, I'm pretty sure I concur with your sentiments on the Intend Flash @collinmcballin . 🙂 I have been getting more time on it recently and the feeling at the bars is quite unique. It is very calm and comfortable, but not dead or overly muted. You can still feel some impacts, they are just nice soft "thuds". The Flash just tracks and goes where it is pointed. This sensation is most apparent when switching back and forth with other bikes/forks. Even dangerous at times when the hands almost get blasted off the bars because I'm...

IMO they nailed the V10 kinematics. Plus press love them and pros are doing well on them. I would expect the updated Nomad and Megatower to stay VPP since they have space to move the shock forward to get that ~120% AS.

With many of the GR4 color options on backorder for 4+ weeks (confirmed with a retailer yesterday), I am thinking about trying something different - has anyone tried to use a larger cam roller in the T3 or T4 levers? I've read that swapping the roller with a 8/9mm bearing reduces the dead stroke quite a bit.

Hey all, here's part 2. not trying to be youtube professional. just made these videos to help out the folks on the forums here. more than happy to answer any questions i can. 3rd part will just be garage talk. cheers! here is what i have to report so far 1. this is undoubtably the most incredible fork I have ever felt or ridden 2. the chassis is truly a work of art. it's so 'free moving' that the stability and stiffness are un-rivaled. trying to explain how easily the fork 'moves' that it can't possibly bind or create odd...

based on this week's events gonna throw strava here as a wild card, they thought it was a good idea to file a lawsuit based on a questionable patent against a company ~25x their size (based on net worth)

Showing up to a federal land agency meeting with heat maps printed discussing decommission was an eye opening experience. It’s a great tool for them to identify and remove any trail that was a significant amount of time to build. Your 2 minutes of enjoyment likely was 100 hours of work or more. And it just put a bullseye on the trail when you published your ride. You can remove sharing heat maps on your settings, not make rides public and hide your maps. Or just not strava those trails.

Yeah, I understood you, the name of the online retailer is just a coincidence. I am surprised that one of the major online retailers of Hope in the US has 3-4 weeks ETA if BTI has them in stock. I saw them "in stock" at Bikeman that would obviously get them from a distributor, but their odd descriptions and odd...
