We’ve ridden every version and evolution of the RXF38 fork from Öhlins, and we’ve always been very impressed by it. Not ones to ever rest on their laurels, Öhlins dropped the m.3 generation of said fork in 2025, and we were of course eager to put it to the test. It came with the classic promise of “revised internals, less friction, and a new damping tune,” but what would the story be out on the trail? Keep reading to find out! Öhlins RXF38 m.3 Air Highlights TTX twin-tube damping technology Independent spring and damper system Retuned air spring system...

I've honestly been pretty thrilled with my Hope Evo GR4 brakes. Paired with the Galfer ebike pads and TRP RS05E 2.3mm rotors and offer tons of stopping power and lots of modulation. I'm about 205-210lb geared up and they have no problem stopping my fat ass on my ebike. Once I get my dh bike back together I'm gonna pair the new Lewis AX lever with the maven caliper and see if that offers a little more stopping power. Don't see a reason to go back to the stock maven lever at this point, maybe they'd be improved with that...

so I have noticed that every single racer on a new Frameworks is using the new frame but the older style machined upper links instead of the one that comes on the new bike. I am curious why

Also: Ryder Lawrence, Connor Knipscheer, and Zack Harper all announced as part of SpokeX / Mondraker Factory Development Team. Assuming they will be focusing mainly on domestic racing and Monster Pro DH Series with Clay's kid on the team, though Ryder was getting some good DHI results toward the end of the season (5th at Lake Placid and 5th at MSA).

I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.

The first prototypes were very exciting, but definitely didn't look like something that could command much money! The first pic is an example of one of the early prototypes that didn't look very good, and didn't work well either! The second pic is a later-generation prototype where I definitely started to say out loud, "Damn, this thing looks sick!". Even at this stage, we didn't have a full understanding of the costs, as we were still trying to get a certain level of performance out of it and weren't there yet.

Handlebar technology has been a fickle thing throughout mountain bike history. New trends, be it the days of ever-lengthening bars or the great diameter debate, have promised gains in control and stability while quietly taxing the average rider’s hands. In the case of Squamish-based component brand OneUp Components, striking a balance between comfort and control has remained at the forefront of their handlebar technology. OneUp introduced its now-signature ovalized profile with their first carbon handlebar in 2019. Designed to reduce the hand fatigue often associated with 35mm carbon handlebars, the tapered oval shape through the bar’s transition zone provided...

Amaury confirmed in Downtime Podcast they're using a special softer rubber from Schwalbe on their race tires (unclear if just for cold temps/wet as had been reported--which is likely).
