But id like to think that most manufacturers by now would be doing reasonable sizing increments 5 sizes = 425, 450, 475, 500, 525 or 4 sizes = 430,460,490,520 with +/- 5mm reach adjust - of course this is just some made up numbers so play with it as you will.

Sounds like you work in a Trek dealer. It looks like it, because it is. It's a comfort tourer for oldies that equate suspension to comfort. They get loaded up with kickstands (in the provided mounting holes), mirrors, smartphone holders and Ergon wing grips. They ride like a pig and have done since gen1.

I usually pour some fluid into a small dish, take the plunger out and wet it in the fluid before pulling fluid into it. When you're pulling fluid in, as long as you get the fitting below the surface you shouldn't be introducing any additional air. Degassing thoroughly after is still the bane of my existence but I'm certain it makes a difference to the bleed.

You are no way boiling oil by depressurising it with a plastic syringe with a square seal.

Slightly firmer lever feel, and on paper slightly less power but that's barely noticeable. Had that before I switched a bike to full Maxima, haven't felt the difference ... Now a bike on Maxima and the other one has DRT levers and 612 calipers, pretty much the same power but much shorter throw (and firmer once the pads contact) on the 612.

The latest Stumpjumper rustled most people's feathers when it launched without routing for mechanical drivetrains. But did you really think that Specialized was that bold? As most suspected (or have seen leaked in this forum), an aluminum Stumpjumper has arrived with holes to stuff a cable. It also has their Genie shock, the same frame layout/kinematics, and geometry package/adjustments. I didn't see much else about the alloy variant that stood out. The coolest thing is that if you are a suspecting buyer, you can now get on the new Stumpjumper for just $3,000, which is $2,500 cheaper than the cheapest...
