Deore and XT Di2 is here to join it's more expensive sibling XTR. On overview of everything can be found here - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/wireless-shifting-masses-shimano-intr… And since pricing is probably what people want to know most, I put everything together in one spot.

I'm at Leogang this weekend and wanted to get a sense of how widely pedal kickback devices have been adopted by World Cuppers, along with all the other wild accessories like TMD's/shakeweights, electronics, gearboxes, and more. So out of curiosity and as a service to my fellow nerds, I stood at the top of Q1 today and counted all the devices I could. Note that certain devices were almost certainly undercounted, like shakeweights, added mass, and fancy chainring devices like Ochain or Rimpact (drivetrains were facing away from me in the starting lineup). There were 20 bikes total where I...

Been on the road a bit this past week but wanted to drop a few thoughts. I also saw I was tagged in a post linking to a solid BR article, but it got deleted so I'm reposting it here because it’s highly relevant to this thread and sheds light on Canyon’s financial health. Canyon’s valuation has been written down. GBL, who owns ~50% of Canyon (I don’t know much about them), dropped the value of their stake from €460M to €261M even though sales were flat YoY. Worth noting: since GBL is based in Europe, they report under IFRS...

After having gone back and forth a few times now between the Intend and PUSH forks, I feel the ability to tune the flex (torsional and fore/aft) is a big benefit of the inverted design. Historically this has been a weak point, with the single crown Shiver being slightly terrifying at times with the ability of the front wheel to wander aimlessly in rock gardens. This is no longer the case (at least with the Intend and PUSH forks), with the amount of flex being beneficial. Similar to what Reece is talking about in regards to the Dorado here: It...

I'll fly the pro USD flag, although I'm very biased... I think you're slightly underestimating the nuance between an amazing fork and a crap fork. At this point you might have rode two forks of the same manufacturer and model but yet they feel vastly different. To me, that's down to fork manufacturing being on the knifes edge of production manufacturing tolerances. For example, 4-6lbs of extra seal drag is garbage, .25deg misalignment of tubes is total garbage, and if a 14" long stanchion deviates more than .0004" (human hair is ~.002") - steaming hot garbage. You might say those...

I find it really amusing this team uses Aliexpress special EZMTB bleeding kit instead of a SRAM official one:

this is my favorite topic hehe... heres my top 5. IYKYK #1 Derailleur Lockout - I made a video a while back on the "hall lock mod" no more b-tension slop, absolutely guarantee this makes your drivetrain last longer too. NEWER SRAM DERAILLEURS (mech/axs) NEED NO PARTS, just need to file down the aluminum spacer to 14.05-14.1mm. this one is #1 because it solves so many problems at once. chain dropping, cable suck (when suspension moves; cable is pulled through internal routing- mainly on santa cruz's) chainring wear, loss of confidence sprinting after a rough section etc... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IChC4h8WDkA see comments...

TheSuspensionLabNZ Liked a reply to forum topic Fork Bath Oil Amounts - Do they really matter?

5/27/2025 10:45pm
Bike packing forks usually seize up due to having copious amounts of rain on them and pushing past the seals, so even with relatively low k's or hours they will be in a rough state. Also if there is no visible leaking, there is usually a similar amoutn of oil in the lowers than when it was serviced, it will just be very degraded. In general, more oil = better and will last longer but in a lot of forks the air spring side has very little space in the lower leg and any more than the specified amount will...

Long time lurker in the forums, thought I'd finally chime in since I own an Edge. Riding background: 43yo ex middle-to-back of the pack pro. I don't take nearly the chances I used to (career and kids to think about) but I still like to ride fast and push myself. I ran a Fox 38 Factory before I purchased the Intend. I liked the support the Fox offered, but could never quite dial it in to get the sensitivity I was looking for. With the 38, I always started experiencing serious arm pump, leading me to cut riding days short...

It's an interesting topic you bring up @TEAMROBOT as with all things mtb it's hard to seperate marketing with actual tangible benefits. It's especially relevant to me, aka 'a bike nerd who is easily sucked in'. I've spend a fair bit of time on a charger 3 zeb and ohlins rxf38 for the conventional fork camp and now a bit over a year on an intend flash. I'd like to think the honeymoon period of a new shiny thing is over so I can give an honest take. I'm my experience they are superior to a rsu fork, it's pretty...

The lubrication thing is a bigger deal than people realise - currently conventional forks have a tiny amount of oil and don't always perform as well as they could because that oil wants to sit at the bottom. Open bath forks are a little better but turning the bushings around makes for a much better system to reduce friction. I service about 1 Rockshox RS-1 fork a year and they have been very impressive in how reliable they are - a sid or revelation with the same number of k's would have been destroyed! This one did over 10,000k between...

Because you probably greased the dust wipers and added oil to the foam rings at the same time. Its like blowing on your nintendo* cartridge - its not blowing on it that does anything, its the taking it out and reinserting the pins properly that helps. Or greasing cassette splines - that does nothing, but retorquing the lockring afterwards does Too much grease was a problem nearly 10 years ago now in early 35mm pikes and 36's but since then negative chambers got MUCH bigger, and the amount of grease also dropped to about 25% as much. to the point...

I rode the push and the intend. Push: The spring was the right one for me. I honestly didn’t find anything special about it. It worked like my 38 at the same travel. No less friction, no less damping or flex. But a lot heavier. The intend. I did feel the nice off the top and low friction difference, But the damper was not very supportive and the adjustments didn’t help. It also felt more flexy than the 38. So as a customer, more weight, more cost, or more flex. Beside the lubrication advantage, i wouldn’t spend the money or...
