I think you're right on the 120-130mm bikes. I think bikes are going to divide into short travel bikes, ebikes, and DH bikes. Maybe not 2026 but at some point. And I bring this up because some folks don't know (literally a friend of mine was telling me how much they miss parmigiano reggiano but they haven't had it since they've become lactose intolerant): Aged hard cheeses have less lactose than younger and/or softer cheeses. If a person is intolerant, they might still be able to have parmesan, Romano, Manchego, and other aged hard cheeses. The aging process in cheese...

Biking will continue to be a lot of fun and selling bikes will still be pretty dang rough in the woods and streets.

Let’s fire up our crystal balls and see what we can see… I predict people will eat more fruit and whole foods on rides.

1. Riding more frequently, even if it meant inside and seeing the positive benefits 2. Vittoria Mazzas. Just a very solid trail tire for New England(thanks Justin). Runner up Schwalbe Radials (MM front Fat Albert rear) 3. My 9y/o “I’ll just watch” daughter bogarting the pump track and not wanting to leave, thanks Brian for supporting that. Also, her uncanny ability for instant friendships with people and scarily good memory to say hello to someone she rode with just once months later. 4. Putting myself before the trails this past season. Still dug, but needed the pedal outlet a bit...

1) One year on my Bosch ebike from cube that ended up being the best bike I've owned and flawless (beyond some creaking). 2) 3 weeks without the kids over summer, some big trips to bike parks and high Alps, unreal. 3) Still progressing at 41, think I've hit the biggest gaps of my life this year, in part due to modern flow trails being so easy. 4) More or less ending the year healthy after a massive concussion last year, a freak shoulder injury at the climbing gym this summer and my lower back giving trouble most of the...

1. Making positive life changes to reduce stress. I quit a high paying job this year that was causing some pretty heavy health issues from the stress, which was scary- young kids, mortgages, and a wife in grad school isn’t cheap. It’s all worked out great though and couldn’t be happier with the decision. 2. With the career change, I was able to finally get back into great riding shape again, which makes everything more fun. Not being smoked on day 4 of our annual BC riding trip was icing on the cake. 3. Got a DH bike again after...

1. Buying a short travel 29". The LT E-bike has been collecting dust since I got my RM Element. 2. Solo rides on local trails. Being a dad with a full time job, makes me enjoy the 1,5 - 2 hour local solo rides after work. 3 . Schwalbe Albert Trail Radial. Gamechangers for my Element. Mutes the trail chatter. 4. ODI Longneck v2.1. Best grips ever for people like me that hate to ride with gloves. 5. Not working in the bikeindustry anymore. After 18 years in the industri (bikeshops, sales rep, import/dist), its nice to have mountainbiking only...

1: Falling back in love with biking and actively doing it every week. I used to ride a lot in the late 90s early 2000s but stopped riding mostly for about 12/13 years. I rode bike parks a few times a year in between but didn't have any sort of trail bike and never rode my locals. 2020 I got the itch right as bike boom started undenounced to me, bought a low end polygon and went out with my uncles riding group and knew it was part of my life again. Rode probably 25 rides before preordering a Tempo...

Me: 1) watching the DH racing this year 2) riding some fun trails with mates that weren’t euro bike park rubbish, shout out Sgreben! 3) riding some nice DH tracks 4) not buying any “upgrades” for my MTB and just maintaining what I got 5) riding my rubbish commuter bike on silly rides <3 And the Lady (almost the opposite of me): 1) riding a BIG euro bike park jump line 2) installing a Noken on my Lyrik 3) riding the local trails 4) gravel bike climbs

1. Learning how to jump; as an ex-roadie getting my wheels off the ground was scary AF but once I got it OMG, so fun (and still so much to learn!) 2. Riding/sessioning with friends: nothing better than helping each other progress and the shared stoke that comes with it 3. Digging: putting in time to build and improve the trails I ride is incredibly rewarding and it's fun getting a (small) say in how they're built 4 MRP Lift Damper: as a lighter rider this has been a game-changer for me 5. Schwalbe Radials: I feel like this is...

1) Maxxis High Roller 3. Truly an excellent, year round tire for me in my local conditions. Works better in deep summer dust and winter squish than a Kryptotal/Assegai 2) Santa Cruz Vala. A 47 lb, full power ebike with dialed geometry and suspension. It just works, and is incredibly intuitive. The weight is a standout for me, at <160 lbs, trying to throw around a 52+ lb bike SUCKS. 3) Digging my own trail. It's not done yet, but after years of looking at spots and helping maintain other trails, I finally decided to try cutting my own. A...

This is a great idea! I figure I'd give it a go. 1.) TransBC 6 Day enduro. What an amazing event and personal accomplishment for me. This is a race I've wanted to do ever since I watched it roll through Revelstoke in 2017, and getting the chance to be a part of it was a truly special experience. I could go on and on about just how cool it is to get to spend 6 days with no other responsibilities besides trying to ride your bike blind as fast as you can across some of the rowdiest trails. I...

In no particular order. Loved: Trails builders and the people that maintain the trails in the areas where we ride bikes. These legends will never get enough credit. Loved: Bikes are sooooo damn good at the moment. Whether Im riding my smuggler trail bike or riding my heavy alloy patrol enduro/park bike, the smiles these things give you and the confidence to try new things and ride harder knowing its always going to be ok. Loved: Supporting the Local Bike shops. Things arent great for these stores but still going out of their way to help out however they can...
