Question: How many high end pedal/stem/handlebar companies can the industry really support? I think we've more than hit the point of absolute saturation there...

He also threatened to sue anyone who talked badly about him in the situation. Legal threats doesn't make for an environment that encourages coverage of a rider.

Haven't watched anything since the Discovery takeover and barely watched it before in the Red Bull era, but the exciting commentator should be the primary one. The second, backup commentator should be the knowledgeable one, the technical one.

"We've listened to your feedback and the opinion of riders is super important so in line with their wishes we are pleased to anounce ceasing semi finals , only having top 20 qualifiers in finals and only elite registered teams will be eligable to race. It's a tough decision but we are 100% commited to doing what is best going forwards"

I am sure he could still post on instagram with broken collarbones. I broke my right collarbone pretty significantly a year ago and still won a pool tournament that night. I had some liquid courage, but out of all the bones I have broken it was by far the easiest.

Considering that WC DH racing at this point is a marketing vehicle for the industry to showcase their new R&D tech, banning innovation like you suggest could be a fast and slippery slope to killing the sport. There aren’t enough strong sponsorships from outside the industry to keep it going on it’s own. Neither should be banned and the only...
The poll is flawed. You can't say what SHOULD WE ban first. That's such a loaded question. I don't want to ban either.

So from that press conference it sounds like the threat of a strike got rid of the semi finals. I'm surprised that's not bigger news. Get on the Headline Spommer!

Is aero derailleur cages being worth their money a proven thing? Larger pulley wheels are sold under the claim that they save power through less chain articulation (which is true, but likely very negligible...). With all the turbulence behind the rider you could likely have a bolt sticking out the derailleur by a few cm and not notice it drag wise.

What is the actual advantage of the quasi one piece kit vs. jersey and pants? The jersey has to be tucked in anyway, so it's not like there's a huge aero advantage?

If it's taped but not closed that's fair play, if people have a problem it should be with the race organizers not the riders.

Talk about the cringeworthy self-blindness of the pot calling the kettle: including World Champs, 7 of 8 WC DH races this season are in Europe. If you are from Europe, Mr. Palazarri, you have the unfair advantage of being able to drive to any of these venues to practice, while the rest of the world has to fly. Kolb & Coulanges won races at their *home mountains* last year. What is a week of extra practice on a mountain vs a lifetime? The only way to completely level the playing field is to ban all World Cup racers from riding...
