Most people don't have the space, tools, knowledge and will to work on their own stuff. Hell, it took me from December to early May to put together my old frame to put it up for sale besides all the other things happening in life.

Assuming they'd be allowed. With WB/D holding the broadcast rights that's not a given.

This is my question, especially when the former owners have already hung up their spurs once and chosen to retire. I hope they put 100% into Kona 2.0, but my brain is suspicious until I see it. Running a bike company seems like a constant drinking-from-a-firehose situation, and they're coming back from sipping Mojito's on the beach, living off that corporate sell-out money. That's a tough transition.

Serious question: what makes you think that the same ownership that made Kona go from a very well-known go-to brand in mid 90s-00s to decline during 10s/20s (with some outstanding models nonetheless) a better company now?

I thought Poland broadcast was pretty decent, the commentary with Aaron and Greg was great. There are still some WTF moments with inaudible audio or plain confusion. You would think WB would know better. I'm not a fan of Hosh and the other girls. They may want to explain things to a more casual audience and I have nothing against it but the quality is not here, they are just babbling some nonsense... They should get a guy like SethBikeHacks to write them some lines, he is doing a better job to connect with a casual audience... Regardless, I still...

The track looks awesome and it also looks like the fans are out in full force. Its almost like going to new locations every once in a while is a good thing. Looking forward to the race tomorrow

You can have an open section that's still great in bending. I beams for example. Torsion is where having a closed out tube is very advantageous. Vertical and horizontal stiffness might be up there, but if the whole rear end is twisting then closing out the cross sections would be a good approach. Carbon on aluminum can be a nightmare. Galvanic corrosion is extreme compared to just about anything else if they aren't isolated.

I actually wouldn't put it past Loic to have these buttons on his bike literally just to play mind games and make the other racers nervous. Like, buttons not even hooked up to anything, nothing special under that shock cover, all just to f*ck with people.

What if the buttons don't do anything but the engineers tell Loic and Finn they do? "Okay big guy, you can choose between boost-blaster setting, super boost-blaster setting, or ultra boost-blaster setting. Now go fast!"

I don't see why people are getting worked up about wether or not there should be e-bike racing or not, they could be on gravel bikes and no one would know with the coverage they are giving us.
