Got to talk to Gwin for the first time today. No crowd hovering & no stress. Married life suits the guy. Luca's crash was gnarly. I yanked my phone down in shock trying to film it so can't show anybody. Dude is tough as nails. Also, Walker Shaw is the Ironman. He did the last run of pro DH practice, grabbed his trail bike and sprinted back up to the lift line and pulled 1st in Single Crown DH then hopped back on the tractor for 10th in Pro DH

Charlie Harrison has been really impressive over the last few seasons. Hope to see him on the top step of a World Cup podium this year! Glad Luca is alright, looks like he was up at the first split. Also impressed with Nic, Dakota and Grice. The future of US dh racing is looking bright (and certainly not counting out Gwin, wouldn't be at all surprised to see him win a few world cups this year). Bring on more racing!

Both. He only weighs 100lbs and had benefited from the fact that, among other hoaxes such as the pandemic and an election, gravity has turned out to be fake and he’s able to travel through space and time uninhibited.

It's cool that an ebike lets you ride again after an injury and you can have fun again, but you need to understand that you are a bad person for wanting to ride, because you didn't work for your descent (shuttling is an exception, that is super hard work).

I listened to the whole podcast and it's tied with the Rooted MTB-cast as the best in recent memory. Being an even taller and longer leg guy than Charlie, I gotta say long chainstays are the bees knees. Bikes with 435 +/- stays just feel unrideable now that I have a 455+ bike. Even the slightest extra bend at the knees on a regular bike takes away what little pressure I have on the front. My long stays are worth several seconds a run plus a lot more comfort/energy savings when the trail includes turns that aren't full A-line sized...

No, I would have. Don't call a person who normally talks shit to you when they had a few drinks and has been off the hate train for a while. The flood gates open. Badly.

"Actually you want to weight the bars pretty heavily. Escpecially when climbing. You use your abs and back to pull the bars backwards and down and towards the bb." I disagree with this advice. There are very few times on extremely steep technical climbs where I'll pull the bars back and down, but everywhere else the handlebars are just a place to rest my hands and help keep my front wheel in check. With road bikes and mountain bikes, if you have a lot of weight on your hands, your hands/wrists/shoulders/back will hurt and potentially go numb. Your bars should...

You have to also take into consideration the potential loss of revenue on top of the cost. Would be cool but again if you are pretty much a max capacity all summer long why do you need to pay to bring an event there that will can not help you financially. It would make more sense to have another race in NA right around crankworkx.

I would love to see a season including some current and some new/not used for a while venues. Current Venues: Val di Sole - Reimagine the course by shifting tape 20-50' l/r of the existing sections of track, basically make it the "smooth" rough of 2008 again. Find a way to tape the final left hander so the inside is...

So regardless of where you fall on Sram vs shimano holy war, how can you blame SRAM for a brake line failure? Wouldn't any brake fail if the hydraulic line was compromised? Or was it something in the brake piston itself that failed?

Junior men do not get points in qualification. Also, this track seems to be heavily reliant on maintaining speed out of and between the steep bits, not so much who can go balls to the wall like VdS. An extra MPH through the jumps and that final section along the wall could mean upwards of 3 seconds if you have the long legs to absorb the lips at extra speed. After watching the helmet cameras, Minnaar is my top pick for the final.

adamdigby Added a reply to PB using RAW?

10/29/2020 10:12am
Using the word "raw" is fine as long as it's actually free of music, slow motion, and other alterations. I am annoyed by the use of "RAW" all capitalized. They could have named it something else, but probably want to take advantage of the extra views and SEO it will bring them. Yes, it's not trademarked or anything legally theirs...
