I do not disagree with this point at all. Would be awesome to have another iconic World Cup track in Colorado. It's been since what, 2004 that there was a World Cup in the Rockies at Angel Fire? It does seem like the Forrest Service requires a whole lot of money, studies, and surveying to open new trails. A trail versus a full on WC track is something else. I think a lot of the hate on the WB coverage is because of the increased expenses. Team fees more than quadrupled, race coverage is now locked behind a paywall (that gets almost 300% more expensive to watch this year), and promise from WB of improved coverage. WB hasn't delivered on any of the promised improved coverage and much of the available coverage has been poor (extremely wide drone shots that barely show the rider, shots that cut out the rider's legs and the bike, cutting away from a race run to show a team manager) poor commentary, and just...

But how that is worded it just basically says if you are on a uci team you can’t become qualified to race thru the continental series but you are allowed to race them. It does not clarify who gets a qualification if those spots are taken by someone who is on a uci team or is already qualified on other grounds.

So if the talk of golden tickets rolling down is correct and they can go to riders from outside of the location of the continental races won't this put Antipodean racers at a disadvantage as their races are in the off season and likely to attract more riders from the Northern Hemisphere?
