Greg Minnaar's last track walk as a World Cup rider - at 8mn10 there's a hilarious exchange between Greg and Gracey as they get to the Simba gap, famously pioneered by Greg ("really?" " what do you mean really?" 😂😂😂):

This is a race bike. Frame storage adds at least half a pound to a frame. And NICA courses are so tame as to not need to carry anything. I'm not a fan of frame storage, it's been part of the bloat pushing bikes into the mid 30 pound range. + any burritos put inside the frame pushes the weight up even further. I want a light jumping bean machine not a planted bike. But that is just me, and I know I'm not the norm.

I'm old enough to remember all those URT bikes in the mid 90's. I mowed lawns as a kid for 2 years to buy a Barracuda XXXC only for the fact it looked amazing back then, the suspension only worked when you sat down lol. The Trek Y frame bikes were so successful because they were sexy like Pamela Anderson stuck on your wall as a teenager...... wait what. I kept that barracuda btw...

I used to own a 2005 Giant DH Team. That bike had the WORST brake jack I've ever experienced. But I didn't care. That bike was fast and so beautiful. But when you hit that rear brake, it was like and ejection seat at the pedals.

Too many solid options to chose a bike that doesn’t look good!

Glad my comments are getting mentioned in Inside Line. Amazing you guys are doing this on $400k. Those white pants are gonna kill your laundry budget, man.

Me looking at my Specialized bike with Enve Rims and cockpit, 5dev cranks and SRAM Transmission right now going... Go FRAMEWORKS!! Haters gonna hate.

Pretty harsh to call those companies 'blemishes'. I for one would support those companies just because they support Neko and the team. 5Dev seems to have supported Neko on many, many frame parts, aside from cranks. That development alone is very valuable. Specialized supports so many racing projects and cool stuff too. To call one of the more technically advanced companies a blemish is just beyond me, especially when Specialized supports a lot of privateers, their own factory team, this team and Rooted/others that are trying to make it. And ENVE? I've run their stuff in the past and as...

Lots of interesting points here. There are some comments stating that the fork/front axle moves back a lot, but I don't think that's really that big of a deal since it is moving up too. I don't think the front center changes too terribly much with a fork when it moves. 10 minutes later... Just for shits and giggles, I...

Same here ) but I’m very happy to see Gee back after his crash. Can’t wait to see his line at Rampage.

Keep your day job and keep on racing. You may get a factory ride at some point, you may not, but keep riding and racing for the love of riding! You are learning so much by making this happen on your own and this approach will pay great dividends in life.
