Curious if a Rupert Murdoch type of mentality of not being able to let go (and pushing the previous 2 CEO'S out) or a Disney situation where Bob Eiger was drafted back in because Chapek cooked the company?

I think he's not happy with the pace of product development on the e-bike side. Leadership starts at the top, and perhaps Armin Landgraf wasn't pushing things along hard enough. There were rumours on here that Synyard sent an angry newsletter amongst the exec group at Specialized wondering what they've been up to in light of the Avinox takeover.

It must have been a rough day when the Levo rollout (years in the making) was quickly made irrelevant by the Avinox M2. Didn't they have to slash prices by like 40% or something?
They already outsource their motors, just give in and go with Avinox. Do something unique with it like Orbea.
Throw that on an updated Kenevo based on the latest Demo and let the good times roll.

Idk, it's not like the current S motor is weak. Heavy, yes, but swap it out for an avinox motor and the new turbo levo still isn't really a compelling buy...
