Any chance those two resorts have the same ownership? Is Europe like America where a couple of companies own a majority of the big resorts?
Saalbach*
I doubt it. From what I figured out when I lived in Germany is that ski resorts in Europe can be owned and operated by a blend of local town, regional committees and private companies (usually running the actual lifts). And the distance of culture, language etc.. between say Austria and France make large company ownership less likely
Don’t worry, give Vail another decade.
They already own Andermatt and Crans-Montana in Switzerland and they are running out of North American resorts to buy.
3 is Australia too. Altera has yet to start buying outside NA. (yet)
Oh yeah I completely forgot about that whoops
Down vote because Vail Resorts sucks. Great at gobbling up every cool mountain from Summit to Squamish, but overall, but terrible for winter sports access, and paying a living wage.
and they just failed to aquire Flims Laax
Loïc to rally
There will be a Pivot Factory Racing Team in 2026 and most of the sponsors seem to continue. Besides that, BK will be a Kawasaki UK ambassador.

Saw that Ryan Griffiths was tagged in a Jackson post on IG, so guessing he’s with SC 2026
truly we are in the dregs of team rumors by now... January 1st, come hither. I have NEED of you!
I wonder if the new rules has slowed down the rumor mill a bit.
The gym she goes to often has equipment from athletes that train there on show, that’s Rosa Zierls bike afaik

Commencal-Les Orres VS Cube-Saalbach Will be a Battle for the Ages
Watching the Downtime Podcast with guest Wyn Masters, he mentioned a rumour that Dak is going to Scott Factory. Interesting.
Really good episode, always enjoy listening to Wyn yak about bikes
Dak to Scott seems lame.

He likes BCoulanges. Obviously, as everyone does, since Coulanges is fantastic, but still: sounds 100% not lame to me!
Been wresting with this in my head since is was roomer 2 months ago..Dak is now NOT young. needs to get paid.. Bummed as we all are about not FW or Intense. He also is prob. gonna marry Frida who has not had a ride for the last 2 years. I totally get it. Get that $ DAK, And the bike works.
having BC and DAK on your squad and you become the people’s team immediately.
I'd absolutely CHUCKLE if Dak ends up staying with Mondraker and it was all a low-level psy-op to get people speculating about Mondraker and Dak and the bike he'd be riding right before they release a finished Summum DH bike.
With a PhD in mechanical engineering Frida's going to be absolutely fine financially!
We’ve all seen Dak ride some bullshit products over the years. I don’t think the Scott would slow him down but I can already feel the cringe imagining him having to talk about how he “honestly” loves integrated shocks and stems and shimano brakes.
That being said the boy deserves a fatty paycheck. Do what you need to do Dak!
Only way to improve that would be to add Wyn for the trifecta!
If true hope he can get the bike to work, given Benoit has definitely had a challenge coming off the supreme V5 (not the only one, apparently Camille Balanche worked a lot with Yeti to bring the dh proto up to the V5's level). The Mondraker proto seems to have really complemented his strengths.
He probably read it here first.
Dak seems to understand that the time to make money as a professional bike racer is limited at best. Yeah, FW would have been a "'Merica, Hell yeah!" type of deal, but if Scott gets him paid and let's him keep racing on the WC level, then he's got to jump on it.
At this point in this big ol shit salad of a MTB industry, I'm happy to see any rider who puts it all on the line get a ride.
