Tippie was in NWA quite a bit over the last couple of years as part of YT events. Everything said on that writeup is true. He's unflagging in his positivity and stoke. He includes everyone and interact with everyone from the kookiest kid to the most seasoned pro. He's almost uncomfortably positive and full of stoke at times, but a brand really couldn't ask for a better ambassador. I hope he lands somewhere. Dude is a legend, and his story of climbing out of the dark depths of addiction is inspirational.
I haven't had any direct interactions with Tippie in many years, but can 100% confirm this.
Norco dropped Seb Harrison from their development team, insta post made sound as he thought his contract was longer then 2 years, or he thought he was renewed. Could be a sign of Norco's finances or making room for a bigger rider.

I highly doubt pivot drops BK, but his results racing outside of quirky events are steadily slipping. It would be cool to see really fast riders in DAVE WEAGLES MASTERPIECE, and destroying track. And maybe BK as a team mgr can actually put that together. Atherton getting a bigger and more diverse team seems called for as well. We all know that bike is also weagles masterpiece. No matter where dak lands :::: Dave weagle wins again!

Speaking of Canyon, is their enduro program done? Jesse Melamed was a team of one this year and racing a DH bike for fun at the end of the season. Anyone know what Jesse is doing in 2026?
Their enduro team was done last year but they graciously kept me on board for this year with my contract having another year on it. Sounds obvious of course, but the bike industry isn't always so giving. The DH team took me in and I had a blast all year long, which was the main reason for doing DH at the end of the year. I just wanted to hang out with the team some more, and who wouldn't take the chance to race World Cup DH while they can.
(Quick tangent: so is enduro actually being killed off at like... The UCI level? Right when they FINALLY invest time and energy into covering it, like we've been asking for all this time...)

Hey Jesse, in the 2027 season do you see the current EDR series being “bigger” or “smaller” than it currently is ? Seems to me that more big name EDR guys are setting their sights on those big multi day blind racing events with some UCI, and Megavalanche racing thrown in for good measure. Best of luck with what ever your future holds.

I'll be following along closely!
You're a huge asset to your sponsors. If for no other reason than to demonstrate how a setup might or might not differ for a smaller-stature human like yourself who absolutely rips and can win any race of the season.

Hey. What about us tall guys? I'm 6'7"! I'm very popular now for some reason... I like telling people 2m to observe their thinking face.

I am a Tippie fan, but can someone explain to me why he should get a ride over some up and comer? A very few amount of riders from his generation are still sponsored full time, even a much younger Gully works full time for Orbea not as a rider.
Love the guy, but in times apparently so tight in the industry, why him and not someone current like the people who we talk about in this thread losing rides?

Tippie isn’t competitive, and you’re not really hiring him to ride. He's basically a marketing ambassador. You aren’t paying him to even ride, really. He has a skill set that’s beyond riding and something that most people, regardless of their riding ability, don’t have. He’s not really a “modern” influencer, because social media isn’t his medium, but a brand would basically “sponsor” him in the same way as an influencer, not as a racer/freerider. You’re paying for the personality and story, not the talent.

Racing and an ambassador like Tippie both come out of the marketing budgets for most companies. Which one is going to potentially sell more bikes? The guy racing or the guy at races and other events stoking other riders as well as hyping up your brand? I might be biased since I know Brett, but he brings a lot to the table and maybe for less than a WC racer.. That article really sums up Brett quite nicely.

i would love to see Greenland on a british team, although Atherton has only little to no money to spend, he could also be a nice pick for Nukeproof. But i think that they keep Charlie, who is a great guy and their worldchamp, would be hard to get him off, although i don`t know contract issues.
Many speculations these days rise and fall with the question, which financial possibilities are really at Nukeproof; if its the same like former intense, it can get difficult with a top10 rider.
Yess Blewitt off Cube is shure? Would be quite reasonable. With a redbull helmet, she should get another year on a big team, i guess, although `25 was a bummer for her. For riders like her, times are getting hard in the next years with the upcoming youths.
I could very well imagine Widmann off mondraker and that they go for a new female top.
Can´t imagine Baumann leaving Les Orres, she was built there and is still young with lots of potential, esp. when vali comes next season.
still waiting, where Maples ends up, but we will maybe have to wait until january...
VitalMTB podcast from MSA said Vero Widdmann quits racing. Her name was mentioned alongside Camille and Monika, which I was very surprised as I had not seen any such announcement from Vero anywhere.

I'm guessing one of two things...
1) She just wanted to quietly fade away..
2) The decision isn't final and maybe she wants to do less races.
Guys like Brett and Warner make any mtb event way more fun for the audience. Especially the in person audience but they are pretty dang good at the media side as well. Sure they aren’t growing the sport by riding bikes. But by having a paycheck and budget to go to these events they help the sport and give the brands writing those paychecks credibility.

I would say: Pinkbike videos featuring Tippie and a branded shirt reach more people than any booths or banners at bike festivals around the world. He literally streamed everything next to riding at Rampage and Crankworx or not?

Would he be in juniors after it has stopped ?
Maybe his return to Rocky for their rebirth would work nicely
Is the same marketing manager still at RMB?
With the restructuring and subsequent sale, no one from the marketing department of the last few years remain. So, no.

Wout to the Syndicate
Jackson to Visma?
Crazy how different the bikes are (outside of being dh vs road). Wout is SO much taller than Jackson, but his bike looks absolutely tiny.
Young Master Goldstone is car shopping?
PON is also doing a lot of business selling, exporting and stuff of the complete Volkswagen group. Porsche being the crown jewel of it.
Track day.
