Only alloy rim I would buy. Chromag wheels I've built for people get some of the best feedback.
Not "new" as the idea has floated around for a while, although often getting dismissed as a pointless gimmick for wealthy german retirees riding 10k bikes on bike paths.
Now T-Mo has raced it and won* at Ard Rock Enduro.
*she was in a fairly small category but as far as I can tell from the terribly organised results, she had the fastest female time of anyone doing the full 7 stages, E or non E.

I’ve had good luck with my Chromag 27.5 rims and R4 hub. New England tech riding, so more natural slower speed stuff with a big variety of wheel killing stuff just waiting for me.
Lasted much longer than my other stuff has, including Specialized, DT Swiss, Crankbrothers, Stan’s and Giant.
Running them on my Chromag Stylus with a closeout Z1 coil fork and an old 11 speed XT drivetrain from who knows when. It’s the one bike I don’t really worry about, it’s always ready to go.

As a Neuhaus frame owner, I love what they're doing. I previously had little interest in a 32" bike, but after watching the video, a 32" rigid single speed sounds fun and would probably be a blast on my local trails.

Tried the Bosch ABS out at Eurobike last year, was very impressed. I could see it being an advantage for racing, allowing you to brake harder and later.
So it squeezes the “headtube” off the fork to stiffen it? Assuming this actually does anything to stiffen the steel steerer tube, would this not just transmit more forces to the CSU and lead to creaks/failures?

the only thing I've seen and want to try that might make meaningful difference is the intend stiffmaster headset
I haven’t done to my rear end yet because we found other ways to make the stiffness gains I was looking for. In my opinion most frames come too stiff. I end up cutting off material to get more flex in areas.

Only alloy rim I would buy. Chromag wheels I've built for people get some of the best feedback.
Why bother with it ? Seems like the only thing DT are doing here is adding weight . Not sure the only solution to a strong rim is making it 700g +- !!
Toughest rim I experienced is the Duke racing Fury Star HD . Very strong and doesnt dent easily .

It fits in the headtube of your fork, so it increases the stiffness 🙏

It is a cyclical industry in some ways. The new Podium fork fender looks a lot like a THE front fender from the late 90s.

I’ve actually looked into this quite a bit and asked a handful of frame designers and carbon layup people. I bought a carbon repair kit and unidirectional carbon so you couldn’t get the flex in the direction you want and rigidity in the direction you want.
