funny but theres a shimano embargo in place currently for their XT etc range. Shimano rep wouldnt say if saint was included.
He just wouldnt tell me a date except for 'very soon' and its been mentioned mid june for next drop.
Did I miss the "re-did" tr11? It seems to have been the same frame for a few years now right?
It would be cool to see a race bike and a "freeride" double crown bike like commencal does with the supreme and the furious. I'd like to take a lap on a full blown dh sled to see how great they are now, its been a really long time for me. But If I had to spend my own money I'd buy a freeride/park bike with a double crown that is a little bit more energetic and poppy on jumps. I think most people at bike parks would rather session jumpy trails than try and nuke down some WC trails on a full squish monster.
If they don’t name this thing the gran mal or the dirtbag I will be disappointed.
Few details about the new PP bikes :
- Shan n°6 : 160mm enduro bike (n°5 has 140mm), 64.5° HA, 450mm CS length
- Shan DH : no details but looking good with a similar layout but specific ratios.

And here I was thinking an engagement ring was going to be my next expensive purchase, silly me.
Big PP and bigger PP lol
Go vintage ring and new bike! Congrats!
My wrists are barking just looking at those measurements. 7° backsweep? #oldfart
Anyone know what this plug is in Jesse's steerer? TMD?
Granite designs steerer mounted Stash multitool I think?... Actualy no, the bottom design is slightly different (and wrong colour) but something very simmilar to the stash tool.
It‘s a rimpact TMD
Its a Mass Damper
Apple Air Tag is my guess, can't have another bike stolen! I keep mine in the steerer.
As others have said, its a TMD, more specifically Rimpacts that was newly launched: https://www.rimpactmtb.com/tmd
Wild guess here that nobody has made yet....but maybe it's a TMD?
So they copied the homework from Sour Bicycle Double Choc prototype, which was copied from Foes' Ridgeback? Not saying it's a bad thing, mind you.
Confirmed mid june for shimano's next drop.
Whens the Fox USD drop? Remember the word being in June
It’s a fairly classic suspension layout to be fair.
My money is on mid July
If I had to guess it would be a 200-180 27.5 bike and a 200-200 29-27 dh bike in the same front triangle with different chain/ seatstays with different shocks (225x70 or 75). They need a free ride bike. There marketing is awful right now with them saying “hey look a race bike!” But every single well known rider they sponsor is on a full 27.5 tr-11 Shit they even had their website back ground of one with a bomber 58 after their faq says don’t run a 27.5 fork lol.
this bike looks totally finished and painted. It’s ready but I’m sure there just trying to clear out older stuff.
To add the next tr-11 is 100% ready. A quick kiwi was spotted a few months back on it
Good interview on PB, they go throught everything. Enjoyed thr listen.
Someone needs to design a Tuned Mass Damper / MultiTool combo. Where the tool takes place of the mass inside :D
All great ideas there. I do find it weird that they released that refresh (or whatever you want to call it) of the TR11 in May with updated colors, spec, and apparently some kinematic changes. So I guess like you are saying there will be a "race" DH bike and a "play" dh/freeride bike. Also, would assume you are referring to George Brannigan, I know he has been riding this updated TR11 as of late. Can't say I have seen him riding this new bike that was spotted though. do you have any photos of him on it?
Looks like a good place to hide a airtag
There is zero room to hide an airtag in the TMD
I try not to take photos of where I saw somome on it (new dh bike with vertices shock) so I’ll leave it at that. The bikes you’ve seen here are clearly ready. We’ll see how long transition takes to actually drop them.
Maybe they should design a mass damper that doubles as a tracker.
