Sure, just saying the picture is the current generation X2.

I wasn’t disagreeing, I just found that statement when I went to take a look.

My guess is that all will be revealed by the Sea Otter. IIRC they launched the new fork dampers just before Sea Otter last year.

Revel looks to have a new bike dropping tomorrow, as well as updated colorways for the Rascal. The 27.5 Rail is no longer on their site so maybe this is a new mullet 165mm travel enduro bike. Blurry image looks mullet and rear shock has a piggyback.

interesting that the 36 and 36SL are effectively different forks.

Neu 36 air spring set up is a helluva smart way to work around DT's patent/Buttercups. Do wonder what will happen as those elastomers degrade, though that may be me overthinking things again.

I'm just looking forward to getting an "old, completely unusable" 2024 Fox 34 for cheap when everyone upgrades to one of the new 36s.

I have a Pike Ultimate and Super Deluxe Ultimate on my short travel trail bike and I'd love to try the Fox "equivalents" out of curiosity. I'd also love to try some Ohlins versions, too, but my bike is never specced with Ohlins and seems to require an outside-of-standard tune to make the shock and frame agree.

...and wonder if you can throw this air spring in the previous gen 36's?

Some mixed responses here. I called Fox sales this morning and they also said they were not backwards compatible. Then someone on pinkbike commented that they work for Fox and say that they are.

Someone on Pinkbike said they work for Fox… I won’t hold my breath just yet.

Mixed messaging from other media outlets. Flow saying in their video that it is not, while Fanatik has a response quoting someone directly from Fox saying that it is. Probably too early to hang your hat on any one response as I'm sure their sales&marketing team is getting up to speed with the new product.

I remember 32mm forks being terrible at any travel longer than about 130mm since forever....I always chose a 35 or 36mm fork on my trail bike since about 2006!

I wonder if fox will give a free upgrade to the new shock for people who keep blowing up the old one? (even after the 24’ ‘fix’)

Pretty finished article on Matt Walker’s pivot - he’d covered this shock up with a pivot cycles tag in an insta story earlier this week

Looks like the 2026 Turbo Levo is set to release on April 8th.

That would be nice but I doubt it from the amount of X2s on sale out there. I hope they don't keep cycling clients between shocks that blow despite claimed fixes.
