edit: wanting to try something different but similar with my next set, was looking at Contis but don't know much about Schwalbe
it's a Schwalbe, i like the chasing better, the ultrasoft rubber better ( plus it easily outlasts maxxgrip ) and they're cheaper

I think it's one frame that can do both. It's gotta be relatively long travel, as a test rider has said they are running a 38 as the more "trail" oriented setup. I'm going to guess it's 170mm rear travel or more.

I tried out the Vee attack after reading the Vital review.
Legit tire, only downside is that it seems to run a little thinner. Got it considerably cheaper than a Maxxis.

Having serious concussions in the past, I'm constantly trying to find the safest domes on the market and nobody is testing them to their full potential.
I can pretty much guarantee that if you’re a mushy brain like me (easily get concussions) any helmet designed for motor sports will be too hard to effectively prevent concussions. The higher impact speeds the helmet is designed to prevent from smashing your skull open, the more likely it is to cause a concussion in a minor incident.

Maybe it’s a result of increased track speed on the World Cup circuit and the pros feeling like they need something different? It’s definitely interesting to see them all on it.
Check out 6D for yourself if you’ve had previous concussion issues and safety is your top priority for a helmet.

He said somewhere that’s it’s not a full blown DH frame. It’s a “super enduro” frame that can be built with single or dual crown forks. It has bottle mounts and routing for a dropper.

I used to look after the rental bikes at a bike park. People used to blow the forks and shocks up all the time so I de-coupled the compression adjusters. They'd come back complaining about the bike and I'd turn the knobs a few clicks for them. They's come back next run raving about how much better it was now.

It's an interesting topic; Amaury looking for more compliance/grip(?) and Minaar looking for additional stiffness? (Do we know GM is looking for stiffness or could the carbon wrap be for damping?)
Edit: Although didn't SC also add carbon wrapping to Greg's V10 a while back, so increasing stiffness seems likely..

IDK- I've never done that, but I imagine it's a quick way to increase stiffness without tooling changes etc.
Like they could CNC 3 swingarms- leave one stock, wrap one a little and wrap one really thick- let greg do some blind testing.

I actually wouldn't put it past Loic to have these buttons on his bike literally just to play mind games and make the other racers nervous. Like, buttons not even hooked up to anything, nothing special under that shock cover, all just to f*ck with people.

CNC parts are pretty stiff compared to cast parts or tubing of the same diameter. The new Atherton S170 is crazyyyy thin CNC rear end and riders still say it’s more rigid than their carbon bike.
I’m just at a loss for what’s better, soft rear end or stiff. Maybe just depends on the track, rider weight and style of riding.

You can have an open section that's still great in bending. I beams for example. Torsion is where having a closed out tube is very advantageous. Vertical and horizontal stiffness might be up there, but if the whole rear end is twisting then closing out the cross sections would be a good approach.
Carbon on aluminum can be a nightmare. Galvanic corrosion is extreme compared to just about anything else if they aren't isolated.

It's still just two short links connecting the chainstay to the BB area. One of the links just happens to be mounted to a bearing that's bigger than the link. All DW6 bikes I've seen have the lowermost of the two short links oriented such that the pivot on the front triangle is below the one on the chainstay. The way this is set up, the front triangle pivot point is above the chainstay pivot. I'm not sure how the DW6 patent is written. That could be enough to differentiate them. That's the fun thing with patents... you can patent just about anything, but if you get too specific it doesn't prevent anyone from doing something very similar.
