Maybe he sold it to help fund his trip. A nicely specced DH bike would probably get you 2 or 3 nights accommodation in Queenstown, provided you don't go too upmarket. Laughing

You're closer to the truth.  Until he has a team and budget, he's not flying his Cube to NZ.  Easier to either borrow, rent or have an importer fit him a bike for his vacation.

The way the WC schedule played out this year, he missed out on his annual Whistler trip from what I can tell & hit NZ on his own dime instead.

Everybody might want to check out AG's Instagram story.  He's tossing a hint.

I think the Gwin / yeti thing is more plausible than people give credit.

Athletes returning to their roots later in their careers is VERY common in lots of action sports. It benefits both, and for the story telling, the interviews and content usually go bonkers for that stuff.

Yeti did spend last season developing a DH bike after all...

Him sharing a post someone else made referencing a barhump? Really grasping at straws here aren't we?

It's an account run by Sven Martin (I think?), who may just know something we don't. It also might just happen to be Sven sharing some cool photos of World Cup racing from 15 years ago, but who wouldn't love to see Gwin win a World Cup on a Yeti in 2024?

You still gotta get your National Federation to back you BUT he was originally an XC racer so ya never know...

MS Intense?

IMG 8588MS Intense?

Does counting the dots work?

“??? Intense & MS Intense Racing” fills all spaces…

TRP Intense & MS Intense Cycles 🤷🏼‍♂️

FMD is a good guess too

Fox? TLD? USA? Too many 3 letter possibilities!

That’s just a small hurdle to get past. I think the big one is to get Jesse on it! Haha

The Greg Minnaar livestream thing got moved to tomorrow apparently because of a huge number of people signing up? Respect as always to Greg for maximizing earnings toward the end of his career, but really surprised more than a handful of people will pay a subscription fee to stuff like OF and Hotchillee.

Hosted by Ric McLaughin.....for me that's reason enough not to listen to it, based off the terrible commentary we've had to endure during the world cups in 2023Laughing

I think he got better towards the end of the year. Cedric was the worst of the commenting IMO. Ric did a really good job a few years ago doing the EWS highlight videos. Seems like he is the guy in the booth moving forward so hopefully he keeps improving.

It was mentioned somewhere by Cathro that it's done.

Making fun of anyone's accent is juvenile and pathetic. Do better.

If you can't understand Ric, you're the problem, not him. (I'm not a fan of his commentary but that has nothing to do with his accent).

Back to rumors please!

Agreed, he is an announcer. His job is to speak clearly so everyone listening understands what he is saying. Claudio has a pretty thick accent and English is not his first language but we could understand him.

I don't know Ric, I bet he's a nice guy. However, he wasn't very good at announcing. AG came in with zero experience and did a better job of preparing (researching the athletes, asking them questions about the track, their season, their health, etc.) and a much better job speaking. Aaron was easy to understand and much more informative, all without stepping on Ric's toes (he was a team player, impressive).

I really enjoyed AG's commenting, but having 3 people in the booth didn't work (no ones fault). I would love for Gwin to be a full time commentator, except who in North America is actually going to watch any world cup racing this season, plus I would love to see Gwin finally become World Champ once before retiring.

if he didn’t win a world champs when he was completely dominating the sport, I’m not sure he’ll be able to win one now. I’d love him to prove me wrong though. I’d like to hear more of him in the booth. Aaron’s input last year improved the whole broadcast. He’s a natural on the mic.

Well, Markus Stoeckl liked my comment regarding the IFR announcement in the Intense Bike Owners Facebook group (he is a new member as of today)

Everyone is obsessed about the wrong person. There is only one thing we should be talking about. Where is Roidy going to go?

Nope, been around these parts for a while. Just think that a rider posting a favorite old picture of his does not immediately connect to them dropping a spoiler alert.
