Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.
Thanks in advance,

Talked to Bernhard in Schladming. He said the bike is sick, rides better and faster then the old one. I bet he and jake will race them!
I mean he would say that, wouldn't he. Doesn't he also own the business that imports Pivot bikes into the UK? (Besides owning the Pivot Factory racing team I mean.)
Exactly my thought. With marketing at least you get some percentage points of stiffness improvements to back up those claims.
He would be motivated/obligated to say that it's better of course. But that doesn't mean it's untrue. It would take significant and widespread incompetence for a company to make a new bike that is worse than it's predecessor. It does happen but not often. Prototyping/developing a new bike is expensive and usually not undertaken unless everyone is fairly confident that the new version will be a marked improvement.
Saw this on the latest Jeff Kendal Weed video about the Epocalypse, he was at the Evil HQ and they said it’s a prototype so it couldn’t be shown, any idea of what it could be?
Any thoughts on short stem but longer reach bikes from Rulezman video?
https://youtube.com/watch?v=oCi9LzaMm10&feature=share
I think it's great that more stems with shorter offsets are coming to market, but I don't agree with Rulezman's view that everybody would be better off running a super short (i.e. 18mm) offset stem. I think there's a case to be made for stems longer than 18mm, depending on intended use and personal preference.
I have a very short stem at home from a Mondraker Summum, it can be run at 20 mm offset. It's nothing new, albeit the one from Rulezman is probably more refined. Only reason why Mondraker stopped putting them on bikes (I guess) is that their bikes didn't have long reach back then (the stem I have is from a 2016 Summum, 422 reach in size M if I am not mistaken). Photo for refererence
Is there an existing topic (how much reach is too much reach maybe?) covering this or should a new one be opened? Before this topic is offtopiced again.
One thing to take note of though... Is anybody taking the backsweep of the bars into account? And to throw some gravel in the mix, when the XC rider crashing is shown, the 'cantilever' stem should prevent that to a greater extent than the zero offset stem as pushing on both sides of the bar with an equal force (being stopped by an obstacle) will want to straighten the bars. So much for an 'unrecoverable' position...
My guess is a mid- to long-travel light e-MTB, judging by the sizeable fork travel and the remote visible in the first pic (looks like either a Fazua or TQ).
EXT just dropped their new dual crown fork.
Designed for E-MX bikes though.
LH grip looks to have an ebike/motor lever
It's the future if you are not already onward.
I think it'll fit a DH bike no problem.
With it being designed for 20inch wheels I somewhat doubt that
Oooh nice proto. My guess is a slightly less darker painted Wreckoning resulting in a brand new LS MK3 FTW Edition. Blood red version still under development
If it had 29" compatible crowns, it might be doable
Looks like an ebike with a Shimano controler on the left of the bar and the usual shimano screen near the stem.
Interesting if there is a new version of the ebike with a Shimano system.
Orange actually going to a linkage driven single pivot?! is the world ending?!

They released the bike >1 year ago
LOL....well I guess we can see how well that advertising went :D
new giant glory

the current Epocalypse uses Shimano EP8 motor.
I meant a new frame with the Shimano system again.
the ~10lb weight won't help things either.
The new EXT dual crown feels like it took a lot of design cues from the Dorado?
Also, looks like the new Boxxer should be dropping soon based on this recent Rockshox instagram post:
If my vest had sleeves it would be my jacket.....
The ATX colourway is spectacular!

I could look at this all day!
I respect and applaud the color-way choice of the new Giant!
