4/5/2021 1:04pm They’ve really made a mess of their tire selection the last couple years. Are they updating the Slaughter? A 29x2.4 grid trail t7 or grid gravity t7/t9 would be nice.

3/14/2021 7:46am Man, when I think DIY, I think "bike rack made of ABS plastic," or "rubber chicken trail bell," not "homemade electronic suspension analysis tool." Just in case any of you don't know my reference to the rubber chicken, it's a must-see: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4N-1x0_-n0

3/14/2021 6:44am Hi guys, Covid lockdown period in Europe was tough so I started my own project for a supension diy data logger, and after some fails i got an acceptable result
I am using micro LiDar sensor for both front and rear suspension. Front sensor is integrated into the stem
and it weigth much less than a proper potentiometer
Rear sensor attached directly to the shock and pointing to the frame
I am running with very raw case and cabling by now to test on the bike behavior but i am quite happy with the results...

3/3/2021 1:22pm The only thing cool looking in that photo gallery is the Johan. That visor is useless and the rest of the helmet looks like an inflatable bouncy house. Also, riding glasses that big I do NOT get. The more surface area of the glasses, the more they trap steam off your face and fog up.

3/2/2021 9:40am I actually took pics of the weigh... For US size 10, metric weights for one shoe were 568 grams for the Impact verses 373 grams for the Freerider Pro. Double those weights for a pair.

3/1/2021 10:38pm I've used both a bunch, and I feel there are a few things that are different between the two. Of course, the Sam Hill Impact is a bit heavier. The Freerider Pro is lighter, as well as slimmer. As far as the feel on the pedals, the Sam Hill Impact is stiffer right off the bat on the pedals. After 4 or 6 months, the Impacts feel how I want them to. The Impacts degrade from 'too stiff' for me to 'perfect' in that 4-6 month time frame. The Freerider Pro degrades less over time in my opinion, and it...

3/1/2021 4:58pm How does the Freerider Pro feel versus the Sam Hill Impact? My Sam Hills are going on 4 years old and are almost dead. My only real gripes with them is the weight and how long they take to dry out.

2/15/2021 5:23am This is a sweet concept! I think the only thing I'd change is the boat anchor Deore cranks by spending ~$15 more on SLX, you can shave nearly half a pound right there.

2/15/2021 5:23am Yeah, for a custom build using MSRP parts, that's nothing to scoff at. Complete bikes will be cheaper (Ripmo AF or a Marin Alpine Trail) but they are hard to come by right now.
