5/20/2026 11:44am In kind of a "duh... what were you thinking, dummy" moment since I started running radials again... I had noticed that it felt like my rear suspension was occasionally blowing through its travel (landing jumps, square edge brake bumps). I added a bunch of LSC & HSC, still was happening. Added shock pressure and it still would happen. Then I realized I just didn't have enough rear tire pressure, and that I was just bottoming out the tire in certain situations (even though it was stable most of the time). Good thing my Reserve rims are tough. 🤣 I added...

5/19/2026 8:27pm In my experience, if I can keep my speed up then full 29er every day. 32T chainring is usually fine for mullet, 29er it’s a matter of how strong I am that year and if I need the 30T or not. I’m in central CT and most of my riding is slower speed stuff. I love the awkward tech riding...

5/18/2026 8:07pm I'd much rather fix a carbon bike with a damaged downtube than an aluminium bike with a crack. Between the two, my money would be on the carbon bike having the longer lifespan. Aluminium fatigue is a bitch.

5/18/2026 2:33pm We already know his name as he's been making waves for some time already (which is crazy to say given that he's only 11 at present), but Weston Lukens aka " Wes_sends" is set to take the next step now as he has signed on with Neko Mulally's Frameworks program. They've developed a custom 24/26 mullet for him to ride, and by the looks of this reel, Wes is feeling at home on the new rig already. The future is bright...in fact, the future is now!

5/16/2026 7:06pm Unless I'm trying to maximize grip in the wet I much prefer radial front/non-radial rear. I like being able to break the rear tire loose often and for better or worse the radial rear makes that much more difficult to do. Horses for courses I suppose. I just want different things from my rear tire vs front.

5/14/2026 4:43am Just like GP forums, I swear. Where's that new specialized again? Patent for the 170mm design lodged in 2023 iirc. Enduro is going through a multilayered image crisis, but still the largest segment of bikes within my friend group. Meanwhile dual sus single crown overall still seeing plenty of updates. Did rider perception/wants/needs change or should the definition of enduro bike be malleable and rhyme with mall fountain?

5/13/2026 8:41pm I’m a big fan of the 160-170 rear travel class of bikes. Partly because I’m over 200lbs and the smaller travel stuff can be pretty fragile at times. I would rather drag around extra weight for that piece of mind. (This is my view for mtb and e-mtb)

5/13/2026 4:22pm If you haven’t already, check out Vital’s latest PIT BITS for a quick overview of Reece’s particular setup. While there is a lot of interesting tech on Reece’s bike, one defining feature is the prototype raised reversed stem manufactured by Be More Bikes. Reece combines this stem with high rise bars to create a tall stack with reduced reach. This allows Reece to extend at the hips more, creating a tall, upright riding posture. However, doing this causes his center of mass to shift backward, disrupting the front-to-rear weight balance on the wheels. To counteract this and redistribute weight back...

5/10/2026 8:38pm GG had a terrible implementation of cable guides, the frame was too heavy for the short travel stuff, and a lot of us just wanted a metal bike from them. When value added brands try to go bougie upscale it often ends in tears.

5/5/2026 9:50am I have a true love/hate relationship with the microspline, I really prefer the gear ratio of the MS over Sram, the 45t second gear is the perfect ratio for me, I use the granny bailout gear on maybe three occasions a year. But beyond that, it's a massive pain in the ass, the lockring will strip if you ever need to reinstall them, I'll drop the cassette nearly every time I remove it and then spend the next 15-20min looking for all the cogs and spacers, then remembering what spacer goes where... totally unnecessary. Recently got a new MS wheelset...
