4/10/2026 11:12pm I'll keep trying, but you're advice about picking up tickets at the event is probably the way to go.

4/10/2026 11:07pm Honestly, it's hit and miss. Basic Naver registration can get done fairly easily, but to really be able to do anything you normally need a Korean Resident ID and phone with a local carrier. It's all linked together. I'm going to make a broad assumption that purchasing tickets at the event is probably the easiest thing to do. Looking up ticket sales for other races doesn't really bring much up either.

4/9/2026 12:10pm Just created an account to purchase tickets and had my Naver account suspended. Apparently it's because I joined from an abuse suspicious location 🤔. A most auspicious start.🤣

4/9/2026 11:50am Ticket information is up for the race. You're going to ride a shuttle bus to the base of the DH track or take the gondola up and walk down. No word on whether the Rainbow chairlift will be limited to riders/staff. You might have trouble accessing the Naver site or paying, but at least you can see the pricing and some details. https://booking.naver.com/booking/5/bizes/1627853/items/7561984?tab=book

4/8/2026 3:48am Not sure where to put this, and frankly a little bummed it's not already on the main page. Laurie Greenland posted a vid about what he's up to and hinted about future projects and sponsors. Stoked for the guy.

4/4/2026 2:24pm One challenge with low volume apparel is amortizing the development cost. Soft goods sometimes cost more to develop than hard goods as it's a ton of labor making patterns, sewing up samples, testing, reworking the protos, repeat this several times, then have the factory make a few pre-production samples to make sure they interpreted your tech pack correctly. You also need to validate for durability (all brands do this, right? RIGHT?). It's as much voodoo as it is hard science, which means lots of back and forth. Yes, we give them CAD files for patterns, but it's still all hand...

4/2/2026 11:35am I wear Regatta walking trousers (UK). They fit me well, come in a long enough leg (why do so many manufacturers work on the principal that the longer your legs are, the wider your waist must be), stretch in the right places and they're £36 per pair, not the end of the world if I trash them in a crash.

4/1/2026 11:48pm This definitely makes sense. Look at Finale - the region sees the economic uplift from rentals, restaurants, hotels, bars, not the trails, which are free to ride. They've done an awesome job of creating a "resort brand" so strong that visitors can but the resort card to get a discount in participating venues and a portion goes back to the trailbuilders. There's definitely a well proven business model if US ski resorts were to replicate it.

4/1/2026 11:52am Except that they worked with Tom Pidcock for years on the xc side. He was on a Pinarello which are not cheap. I think he won a few races using it.

4/1/2026 11:41am Just a Concussion Hayden Wright and Jaimi Parr Far too often, the phrase “ just a concussion ” is used to downplay the severity of head injuries sustained in crashes. A knock to the head is frequently considered minor—especially when compared to broken bones or torn ligaments. But the reality is far more complex. In early 2025 long-time contributor Hayden Wright experienced a crash, resulting in a concussion that brought with it symptoms which persisted for months. Though invisible to others, the effects were deeply debilitating, with impacts noticed through every part of day-to-day life. In search of answers and...

4/1/2026 10:24am I know someone that made over $5k this season in wins at ESC enduros. Granted, she won almost all of them but still, that's comparable to what "world class events" are paying out.
