Man I hope aero doesn’t get crazy in DH. It just looks way to dorky

I love cargo/utility bikes, plus bikes, alt bikes, at this point I'm spending more time on those than strictly 'performance' mountain bikes. But that thing should have been left on a hillside in its infancy.

Hey there Vital friend. Sorry for my bad tone last night. It’s cool of you to say that. I’m a dad, and Greenland’s story is close to my heart, so I overreacted when I wrote my post. Time patented ATAC in 1998, that would have expired by now, so I'm presuming anyone can make a similar system? As a time pedal user I'm surprised more people haven't copied it. It works so well. But I guess it does have more natural float than an SPD

I generally recommend everyone has a full overhaul once a year - if you ride a ton then also do a lowers service at 6 months, and that covers 99% of people. You can't tell when a damper NEEDS a service, only when it should have been serviced about 6 months ago. And catastrophic failures always come at the worst time - right before or during a big ride/race/holiday Damper oil breaks down and starts to wear out parts like the inside of the damper tube - and usually feel fine right up until the point they have done major...

Regarding Crestline---This all points to AG divesting from Crestline in terms of being an investor, OR possibly more likely, he's still invested but shifting to a completely silent partner. To the point he will actually ride Specialized E-bike while on Frameworks. Reasons being: -The "Team" e-bike sponsor is Specialized. Crestline is not under Aaron's list of personal sponsors. Which means he's going to be riding Specialized E-bikes. Or unbranded Crestlines, which is awkward either way. -Specialized hasn't seen Frameworks as a competitor to this point, but Crestline may be a bridge too far, so Gwin had to 'go dark' on...

Also looks like Crank Brothers wheels, previously they were using Reynolds.

Agreed, Bucko is a legend for sure and even deserves some credit for sending Neko down the path he is currently on. Ben has been making his own DH frames and parts in his basement for years, plays a key role in development with the Scott DH Team, and is a caretaker for some of the best trails in Switzerland (including the infamous Champery track). He went to college and lived in Durango some 20 years ago, and his name still routinely comes up in local conversation. Chapeau @buckoW ! Dak is lucky to work with you. 👍
