I've had reasonable success using standard self-vulcanising patches on the inside of tubeless tyres

Kinda derailing this thread now, but a couple of counter arguments: -XTR, XT, and SLX aren't "wildly" different in the results, there's about 10% decrease in recorded power between each of them with stock pads (they didn't test XT and SLX with the Sinter pads). Since they used the average of 20 decelerations, I would say there is some underlying (=real) reason for the differences. -TRP's DH-R EVO always felt a bit low on brake-power-to-finger-power ratio for me, compared to several other brakes... -remember that they tested with constant power at the lever (4 kg of force on the levers...

Stopping people competing because they haven't done the features on course yet is not a rule either, but it is enforced at Hardline. However having to complete two full practice runs is a requirement in the rule book, but not necessarily enforced at Hardline, to facilitate the step by step practice process. So across the board at Hardline there are discrepancies related to rules and rulings. It's a weird and unique event that means UCI commissaires just make sure the race is kinda safe and riders are fairly unanimous in decisions it seems. Honestly seems like people on the internet...

Race team vibe im here for. Brage just doesn’t do it for me. The metal, the vibe, the approach turns me off. Riding is mental but the style is not there for me - I’m sure I’ll get torched for this take but it’s just how I feel. Tippe is the same…we get it, you’re that guy. But to be fair I was sick of his schrik 25 years ago. Effortless style does it for me. Maybe just coincidence but Kamloops style (Tippie aside) is my jam. Aggy, Matty Miles, Hunter Paul, Matt Hunter. Those guys ride like I imagine...

I don't disagree, but marketing expenses are still expected to show a positive return over time. With the way the XC & DH are hosted there, I think it will always be a difficult proposition. It takes a solid 30-40 mins to drive between the venues. There is talk of bidding on another Placid Olympics, and I'm sure that will be in the red, too, but also pull any dollars and attention away from cycling events.

They are from the great state of Utah. You do the math on that one. Joseph Smith was born in Vermont. His manifest destiny was to inspire others to build the greatest bike brand of all time in the valley. Taking no prisoners on the way.

Driving in Korea is mostly fine. People like to hyperbolize how bad it is. It's not that bad, but STAY FROSTY and drive defensively. Excuse chatgpt cleaning up my notes. Navigation apps warn you — obey the posted limit and you’re fine. Rule of thumb: 100 kph road → stay ≤110 kph 80 kph road → stay ≤90 kph Your speedometer reads slightly low, so you have some margin. School zones are 30 kph. No exceptions. Tickets are common. Average-speed highway cameras Cover as little as 3km. I've seen as long as 25km. Navi shows your average speed — keep...

You might need an international drivers license. I needed one for Italy this summer or I wouldn’t have been able to get a rental car.

Flights and accomodation booked and we should be getting the rental car sorted this week. Does anyone know if there are any strange driving rules in SK? I remember the first time I went to NZ and it took me a while to realise why I was getting honked when turning left at junctions, you were supposed to give way...

Unless they've changed their frames, the lack of any cable guides on the downtube rule out Airdrop and Ari for me. I kinda hope I'm wrong though, seeing Brage on an Airdrop would be epic.
