3/18/2023 11:11am Not sure were to post it, but someone in the team rumors thread posted the schedule for Lenzerheide and it shows Junior final will be on friday (not sure if it is old news?). I guess it is to have time to run the semifinal on sunday, but it is a huge blow for Junior racers IMO. Their race really is gonna be a second tier event (much more so than now), with a totally different track, less crowd on race day, less coverage, and harder to compare their times with elites'.

3/18/2023 4:04am £6.99 per month in the UK, or £39.99 for the year (while offer lasts). If I pay monthly just for the months where there are DH races it'll cost just under £35. I'll probably stump up for June and see how it goes. I'll begrudgingly pay to watch the racing if the coverage is worth it, but my gut feeling...

3/17/2023 9:52am In this interview (posted a month ago) he describes himself as co founder of Forestal Bikes. https://powersport.motul.com/stories/read/2048--2505/ Also in this interview with Vital the way he talks alludes to more than just being sponsored by them. He certainly played a role in developing the Forestal ebike. https://www.vitalmtb.com/videos/member/Getting-Personal-C-dric-Gracia,3…

3/16/2023 2:15pm I get what you're saying, but even Ford and Chevy refer to "the new F150" or "the new Silverado" in their marketing materials, which proves that no one in the world actually treats these model names as if they're real names for people. They're object identifiers. I'm not the Charlie, and the Loic Bruni didn't win senior men's world champs last year, but Loic did win on a Demo 8 with the Ohlins DH38.

3/15/2023 9:46am Nope. I know it's hard to prove or disprove but I'm just a long time thread follower who was pleased to have finally discovered a rumor and innovation hint 🤠

3/15/2023 3:15am Enduro was always gonna come off worst in this deal. Surprisingly enough seen as it's ESOs baby. Enduro may not even be a world cup discipline in five years. Although ESO will want to keep the dollars from the public race entries/events.

3/14/2023 1:12pm The thing is current generation XX1 axs derailleur is twice the price of the cable actuated one and do we need to pay twice the money (probably the new one will be more expensive than twice) for a premium product because they stopped producing the cable version? If they do then they have to make the GX more premium because the quality difference between gx and xo/xx1 is quite obvious. The sport is very expensive as it is and i don't think we need to make it more expensive by reducing product options.

3/14/2023 1:07pm The thing with that is... The cycling industry sold the unknowing consumer on something, that is more or less more expensive and more cumbersome or complicated, that gives little to no benefit, but looks cool. And because of one of these something, another something was implemented. It's up to you to decide did the wireless drivetrains enable through-headset routing or does through-headset routing necessitate wireless drivetrains. I'll be here in my corner with external routing and mechanical drivetrains.

3/14/2023 1:05pm Anybody else here who just couldn't care any less what nonsense SRAM is up to or am I the only one? I'm just not at all excited about electronics this, wireless that - but that is what SRAM seems to have focused on these days. None of that stuff is gonna get anywhere near my bike.

3/14/2023 9:02am I'm running a 2019 X01 drivetrain (with a GX crank so I have an aluminium crank, not a carbon one, intentionally). I went for the X01 at the time because I also got the X01 cassette with it (and a GX chain, but after a plate snapping in half on it after 2 months, I upgraded to an X01 and stayed there up to this day). After 4 years, after over 300 000 meters of vertical ascending and over 400 000 meters of vertical descending I'm running the original shifter (not a surprise to be honest) and the original derailleur...

3/14/2023 8:44am Stages recently sold a big interest in the company to Giant, fwiw. Cycling Electronics is the dumbest market segment. The only electronics I want in mtb is Alex Rankin pointing a VX80 with a fisheye at someone flying sideways.

3/14/2023 6:38am I don’t think that rule applies to DH racing and has been discussed before. I could dig through the uci rules but there are so many examples of DH bikes that where protos and never went anywhere.
