Having said that, isolating the vertical natural frequency of a frame should be pretty straightforward and would go along way to minimising those vibrations felt by the rider. If you've got an FE model of the front triangle already, running a modal frequency analysis takes no time at all and will get you in the right ball park for the most significant frequencies that get excited.

Couldn't agree more, so many people getting angry about misinformation and conjecture. World Cup racing has been in flux since it's inception. This is just the next change in a long line of changes. Seems to me that the main source of anger on the forums and comments sections is that it's no longer "free" to watch DH racing. Quite often EnduroMTB are the only place that calls out bikes for being rubbish, Pinkbike just goes to bed with all the brands because its purely about bringing in as much $$$$ - look at bike of the year, they were counting their cash before posting the article and thats why it took so long lol. VMTB is a bit mixed I've ridden some awful bikes like the sentinel but only enduro calls out it out as hard to ride - Common to see HTA sets on them now, Steeps it up and extends the reach a little.
