We're not sure where you live but we might. In fact for many home mechanics, most things can be done in house with common tools; you might only need to back your car out of the garage to work on it.

I firmly believe that there is only one hurdle to overcome with gearboxes, and it has nothing to do with efficiency. About as well as Eagle does if you try shift it under full load. Shifting is best done a pinion in the deadspot of pedal stroke - timing becomes natural pretty quick.

That's endless debate, front and rear tires don't need to work the same way...
It performed well on the front this season and is still in perfect shape compared to the DD at the back, I weight 75kg and the tracks in Portes du Soleil are not that rocky

Sweet! Make sure you degrease it well. A couple of rounds of a hard solvent. This will make sure the wax gets in and adheres.

@_Lan Nice one! I found the rice cooker on the side of the road so it was very economical. Parrafin wax is like $20AUD/kg. I also do it my road bike and it lasts a good 2-300kms without touching it and is supppppeeerr smooth. I initially wasn't using ... more »

Full degrease at new. Wax chain in a rice cooker with paraffin wax then lube with squirt every 4 or so rides until I can be bothered waxing again. The wax gets deep into the chain where the external application of squirt isn't very good at getting.
