No, definitely not just tuning via the base valve. But it is modified from stock for all the options being tested. The stock base valve setup on the Bomber CR/Fox Van is quite stiff and uses belleville washers. All three tuning options (Avalanche Racing, Fluid Focus, and Shockcraft) remove the belleville washers and convert the base valve to a more traditional shim stack. All three use different base valve tunes, and Avalanche uses a different needle for the bleed (LSC clicker) as well. Fluid Focus and Shockcraft both use a different main piston, while Avalanche uses the stock main piston...

Well, opinions are like (you get the drift...) so take mine with a grain of salt. I think longer travel bikes are a better platform for comparing shock performance then shorter travel in general. As far as the nomad goes, the frame construction is well sorted to ensure no side loading of the shock and it does not change feel with a difference in shock construction (ie 10mm shock shaft vs 15-18mm, think previous gen to current gen dhx2). It has a middle of the road (moderate) amount of frame progressivity (linear progressive) and a rather middle of the road...

There have been prototypes kicking around for a couple years. Max Grayston (motomaxcanada IG handle) posted some pretty clear pics of it last year. Glad to hear it's finally coming!

ew, SRAM corporate makes their people use Teams? Actually, they deserve it for the 28.99 DUB "standard".

15 years ago we had an athlete turn up with their fit numbers all out of whack, old bike gone back to sponsors etc etc, BUT: they had a sticker prominent on seat tube that was identical to one on my tool box. I managed to print an a3 image of the old bike and translate all the measurements with a pencil and ruler. It took quite a while, but ended up bang on. Saddle height, offset, reach, bar height, stack. All this by hand…

In BC? Zonnic 3mg, likely Mint or Wintergreen, as thats the only strength legally available at the pharmacies there Unless he has an Indigenous Hookup for Rez Tobacco, then the worlds your oyster and you dont have to rock training wheel lippers

I don’t think so…in a couple of years I think we won’t see 203 anymore, a big brake brand is going to switch over to the …, 180, 200, 220 pattern as well soon.

Going from this instagram post - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUWtTSCko0O/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link… I'd say its a desert titanium iPhone 16 Pro Max. I'd agree its a Pro Max and not a standard Pro given the percentage of the rear that the camera bump takes up (see https://img-prd-pim.poorvika.com/cdn-cgi/image/width=500,height=500,qua…) Also appears to be using an Apple clear case given the MagSafe ring.

Unfortunately I'm an idiot, so I'll answer your question even if it is sarcastic. I found a known value that's easy to measure, the rear brake rotor. I set it to 203mm (as mentioned in a bike check from my memory) 16.2cm = 6.377 inch, rounded up however the app used rounds things and also not a perfect angle. Closest match for phone size would be a Iphone 16/17 pro max at 16.3 cm or a google pixel 9/10 at 6.3 inches. I'm going to go with the iphone 16/17 pro max. I should touch grass. I'm also either going...

Paragon Machine Works is gone. Very sad for the custom-built crowd, including all the thousands of people out there who are running their sliding dropouts. Those parts aren't going to come easy! I personally have two bikes using PMW parts, although one of them is currently getting it's rear triangle redone. Perhaps I'll be asking for them to change from sliding dropouts to standard based on this announcement? Link to Radavist article I had a really good chat with a friend of mine over dinner last night who is pretty involved in the industry. Knolly is not the only company...

Nowadays ski area general liability insurance is by no means a "one stop shop". They'll look at things like skier visits, claims history, terrain profile and what activities they offer outside of skiing. Hardly a flat underwriting process like yesteryear. Bike parks 100% drive an increase in premiums, and from what I understand, the increase is in proportion to the size of the park (so you build more, you pay more) and just like skiing, number of visits/injuries etc. BTW - Thanks to everyone for checking out my monster Vail post. I know its a touch tangential to bikes, hence...

This forum is to discuss anything related to the latest FOX 38 fork released in March, 2026. We will update the initial post as we conduct further testing. First Ride Review - 2027 Fox 38 Fork The 38 is revered by many as one of the best single-crown, gravity forks. Stout, stable, unwavering. It's a fork that lets you hit stuff hard with minimal consequence. Of course, popularity breeds critique. Some have found the 38 a bit stiff, inconsistent, and harsh at times. The changes that came in 2024, namely new bushings, bypass channels, and the Grip X2 damper, remedied...
