You got one from me because your post has nothing to do with the topic of this thread... Most of the recent posts have had nothing to with it and it's making it all shit.

I usually enjoy the conversations Jase has but can share in the frustration when the third jiu-jitsu tangent begins haha

I may or may not have been gifted one of these tires and may or may not have a couple hundred miles on it already. Casing construction is stiff, but not too stiff. I only have Specialized tires to compare it to and it sits in between the grid trail and grid gravity. 2.5", but on the narrow side. Rubber...

TayRob Added a reply to Shimano... Magura... Shigura Brake Setup

Just food for thought, I recently learned that Shimano also states that using Finish Line branded mineral oil will void warranty and cause problems. Which I thought was weird because how the hell would they ever know? The Finish Line stuff is even pink like the Shimano stuff. Sounds to me like they just have a blanket "don't use anything...

Twinloc is living proof that the designers don't give a fuck what mechanics think.

TayRob Added a comment about press release Made-in-the-USA - Rubicon Expedition Products Corral Rack

These guys are located near me. Besides the handful of racks they handed over to the local "influencer" group, I haven't seen a single one of their racks out and about, and at that price I likely never will.

More like paying two very small men to sit on your fork and shock, constantly turning your lockout switches for you.

Nothing specific to the Enduro, but trunion is just a bad idea as a whole. You don't want the shock to be fixed to the frame. It needs to be able to have some give and flex to reduce wear a properly take side loads without binding and excessive wear. Plus there's the fact you can also strip out a...

Yes, but it gets rid of the trunion shock, and adds adjustable headset cups. Two things that would be a nice addition to the current Enduro frame. As for the "spring" timeline, I was told March-May but that was before all the carbon factories started shutting down.

Well I alluded to it in the review, but to clarify: I feel I'm getting at least the same amount of grip and confidence from this new generation Butcher as the I do with the DHF, certainly on dry, loose, and rocky trails. They also wear a lot better than any of the tackier Maxxis options, most notably the side knobs don't self-destruct after two months...and they seem to withstand snakebite better too. Rolling speed is about the same, comparing the tackier options. Among the faster rolling "heavy-duty" tires in other words. All in all, it's a favorable comparison as...

TayRob Added a comment about product review Butcher GRID TRAIL T9

9/21/2021 7:26pm
I feel like Specialized tires constantly get a bad rep. I was graciously gifted a pair of the old black diamond casing tires about 2 years ago and loved them, until a certain point. The casing seemed to wear out and get "soft" and the rubber compound was definitely on the hard side which wasn't so good in the front, but I loved it as a rear tire. When those gave up the ghost I didn't hesitate to pick up a pair of Grid Gravity Butcher/Eliminator in a 2.6. I've been incredibly happy with these. I've got about 6 months...

His part in Earthed 2 blew my 13 year old mind. He was riding and doing such scary looking stuff, all in shorts and a short sleeve jersey on a glorified Haro cross-country bike with a noodly Manitou dual crown up front. Still get the willys watching that part to this day.

True enough, and those who really want to send it on an eMTB are buying the Ransom e-ride anyway, which has an X2 and no twinloc.
