Sounds like you’ve only ever had to deal with air in the hose. Once any gets in the caliper good luck using their standard kit to get rideable bleed in less than 10 minutes.

..I have always been a Shimano Fanboy and I liked the feel of the new 4 Pot XTs..currently running the M8120 Levers with Cascade Components Slab Mineral Oil Caliper..really impressed and easy to bleed. Uses the same pads and looks sick.. SLAB Mineral Oil MTB Brake Caliper | US | Cascade Components Just my 2 cents.

Am I remembering wrong, or did Chris Porter say that the current crop of single crown forks start to massively lose performance once you go sub 60 degrees? Hopefully we start to see light, 160-180 dual crown forks from the big players.

that's one of those bikes you put on the workstand, sit down on a comfy, oil stained couch with a beer and just stare at while nodding "yep"

Agreed, absolutely beautiful. I’ve always had a thing for bikes with extremely low top tubes/stand over heights like that. If I had the money and the need for a DH bike, this would be very high on the list.

It definitely IS vittoria, they did a nice closeup of the branding when Hugo Frixtalon finished with a puncture.

I don’t know what is going on… Word on the street is GX Transmission was supposed to be released last week, but clearly it wasn’t. I know that embargo is holding up a couple of bike model releases.

Damn it, Charlie. I still don't understand how you are so religious and yet so sensible. It confuses my soul at depths rarely achieved. Keep doing what you do and thank you....you're a good man.

Yeah, wow, guilty as charged. Those posts look reeeeeally bad to my eyes now, but I definitely wrote that, so apparently it seemed like a great idea at the time. I cannot believe I posted those as an adult and as a sponsored athlete. If I could take back those words, I would. I apologize for my retrograde asshole opinions and for probably making other people feel uncomfortable or unwelcome in our sport. Having been on both sides of this issue, I feel pretty strongly that we should (politely) look out for retrograde asshole opinions that make people feel uncomfortable...

Oooh nice proto. My guess is a slightly less darker painted Wreckoning resulting in a brand new LS MK3 FTW Edition. Blood red version still under development

Hey Losifer, couldn't agree more. Was surprised to check Vital this morning and see a wall of female butts in panties facing me. Like you said, if this was an ad selling women's panties to a website with a predominantly female audience, then sure, fair play. But that's clearly not the case here. The last Vital audience survey in 2022 said this audience is 96% male! I don't know how many times I've heard industry people ask how we can get more women into mountain biking and I'm pretty sure the answer is "Not like this." Selling products to dudes...

The local Pivot dealer to me has sold 6 of the fancy, schmancy Shuttle SL models, 4 have come back with motor, battery, or both issues. Pivot refuses to help because they don’t produce the parts, so they’re stuck calling the US distro and getting little to no help because as stated, they have zero hands on experience and are...

I spent the last few months wrenching at regional NICA events. I had never seen a 951 anywhere, under any rider, until I started heading out to the high school races. I probably saw a good three or four dozen of those bikes over the course of a handful of races. I don’t know if that’s where most of their...

I'll get there. I had a priority list of things to tackle once I changed teams and getting my suspension completely dialled was more important than Flight Attendant.

I still remember having a pivot bolt come loose on my M9 at a national race, taking it out in the hotel room to put loctite on it and re-torque it, only to have my friend have to stand on the seat stay so I could thread the bolt back into the upper link. I sold that frame right quick...
