Specialized will not sell you a 1.2 motor aftermarket under any circumstances, so unfortunately just dropping one in will never happen unless you buy an entirely new bike or frame that has a 1.2 motor in it. 1.1 motors that are replaced under warranty will also only be replaced with a 1.1 motor.

Done. Although the title has been censored, Vital don't seem to like the word 'cockpit'. Now back to tech rumours, has anyone heard anything about GT strengthening their DH frames? Asking on behalf of Roger Viera.

I ran both the high and mid rise version of the SQ Lab 12 degree bars. I was a die hard 9x5 degree guy before that. I have pretty horrible wrists and they definitely made a noticeable difference in wrist pain and hand fatigue while descending. On the flip side, they were actually more uncomfortable than “normal” bars while climbing...
I was obviously on some pretty strong drugs when I said the track didn't look as gnarly, it's a beast. There's some very busy mechanics in those pits if some of the noises are anything to go by. Looking at the photos on the other site it doesn't look like that privateer award deal is working out too well for Roger Viera. Good to see him qualify, I wonder what bike he was riding?

I know this has probably been covered elsewhere, but I’m very curious about these bars as I’m terrified of carbon bars but desperately want all the “compliance” possible out of my cockpit. Do the One Up 35 bars have a noticeable uptick in comfort over any random 31.8 bar, or is it just marketing fodder?

I saw that today, too. It could be a Status, but the whole point of the Status is it’s cheap because it re-uses tubing, linkage and hardware from previous model frames all cobbled together like Lego so tooling costs are massively cut down… so I feel like a ground up refresh would defeat the purpose. Definitely not a new Enduro...

This is my last little quip for the day. I don't have any beef with the material used for anything as long as it works properly. I've never had issues with the material on Magura brakes. Once upon a time I thought max braking torque was the only thing that was important. In reality all decent brakes have more than enough power to lock up you wheels. As much as I wish I could say I only ever break 100% or not at all, the reality is most braking happens in the mid-range. A brake with insane outright stopping power...

Meta v5... finally we are seeing the end of "go longer reach" Some damn good rider at crankworx said to me: "long reach is a selling point for riders who are learning, such as kids, once you know how to go straight its time to go downhill " - he went on to talk about how its common to see young kids riding next size up frames or being on an adult size earlier than they should be. By his "time to go downhill" reference is: DH bikes generally have shorter reach to stand the rider up so they can...

And just to be clear, I’m not saying your brakes are only better because Magura’s are garbage, I just truly despise Magura and have no clue how people are riding them, let alone recommending them and touting their performance.
