I'll get there. I had a priority list of things to tackle once I changed teams and getting my suspension completely dialled was more important than Flight Attendant.

I still remember having a pivot bolt come loose on my M9 at a national race, taking it out in the hotel room to put loctite on it and re-torque it, only to have my friend have to stand on the seat stay so I could thread the bolt back into the upper link. I sold that frame right quick...

I’ve seen a spec sheet for an upcoming bike that had the brakes called out as “Code RS DB”…seeing the DB8 is their only mineral oil brake, I’m guessing DB will be their nomenclature in regards to mineral oil brakes.
Americans are funny, you can have the Nascar Freedom Jesus 500 sponsored by NRA , big pharma and like Busch light and people will say that this is acceptable and more than ok for kids/role models, while "porn" or weed (remember when JD Swanguen got a ban from racing due to having weed in his system?) are still seen as big bad evil and will corrupt the mind of your young teens.

If we're poking fun at SRAM marketing, make sure to pay attention for dropped articles in their new AXS press release, too. SRAM hates articles like "the" or "a" in front of their products names. "Lyrik has the most efficient... blah blah blah" or "Zeb is the stiffest... blah blah blah." If you or I talked like that people would think we're crazy. "I drink Coffee ® out of Mug ® that I put on Table ® while I sit in Chair ®."

I get what you're saying, but even Ford and Chevy refer to "the new F150" or "the new Silverado" in their marketing materials, which proves that no one in the world actually treats these model names as if they're real names for people. They're object identifiers. I'm not the Charlie, and the Loic Bruni didn't win senior men's world champs last year, but Loic did win on a Demo 8 with the Ohlins DH38.

I have this old Decline cover on the wall in my office. Minnaar with his signature Gamut chainguide....with the backplate and skid portion of our original G2 hidden behind it for real bash protection. Smile

This is the customer SRAM is talking about when they say the DB8 is intended "for riders who prefer to set and forget." Not you or me. Having worked in a commuter shop, you can't imagine the levels of neglect the average commuter bike sees. Preemptively re-bleeding your brakes every year is not on the radar for most e-bike commuters. https://www.instagram.com/p/Capvcibsius/ I was looking for a better photo with a real commuter wearing the full head-to-toe yellow crab fishing rain gear and the full forehead gaper gap with their helmet hanging off the back of their head, but this...

Yeah you should see the Pinkbike comment section. A bunch of sad weirdos trying to defend the bike because its made by Transition and they dont wanna accept that their favourite brand screwed up.

I haven't heard anything 100 percent confirmed except for a May release date. With Santa Cruz's recent history of being somewhat predictable, I would expect it to be a dead on copy of the newest generation Nomad, but sitting on 29" wheels with maybe a few tiny differences, like using the flip chip for leverage ratio rather than geometry adjust...

New Megatower and Bullit are pushed back to end of spring/early summer, was supposed to be early spring. New revised Heckler in the next month or two. Updated geo, specific rear ends for MX or full 27.5", bigger Santa Cruz branded battery,EP8 across the board.

I've heard the same. There's a local kid, Jake Keller, who just got picked up by Specialized and it sounds like the plan is a season of National enduro stuff with possibly some EWS races sprinkled in.

Dylan is a stand up kid. I've run into him a few times out on the trails and he's nothing but nice every time, to the point of offering a random dude like me a shuttle up to avoid a boring ass climb. Here's hoping he puts the hammer to some kids this coming season! P. S. - Shout out to Garry T for his rut track/interview spot making it big time.
