To be honest he's closer to Saruman. Good interview. The closest Ball has got to any form of honesty. Bullet points. 1. Confirms that they want Wc to be Elite only. 2. Says it's not their job to support a pathway to actually becoming elite. 3. Their goal is 'growth' to 'increase value'.......but only in casual viewership and value to themselves 4. The path to this is 'simplifying' the sport ie making courses shorter, shorter broadcasts. 5. That everyone needs to stop complaining. Wb are not in this for shit and giggles. They are here to make money. It's value...

5 real reasons dh will not be the next f1/supercross 1). Riding bikes in the woods is for nerds and hicks 2). F1/supercross was broadcast on tv world wide before a production mtb was ever sold. Main thing that introduces a kid to something is their parents or their friend’s parents by proxy. 3). Not head 2 head racing. But speaking part of the reason dh is so god damn fun is because you race the clock/track instead of your opponent I very much hope that never changes. But head 2 head is so much viewer friendly than watching 20...

If a rider is a pretty solid 30th overall, making the main say half the time (28th, DNQ(32), 29th, DNQ(31), 30th, DNQ(33)…), and if that rider is getting into the main through the non-points-paying LCQ, does he or she earn enough points to stay in the top 50 and remain eligible for the next race? Put another way, does the...

Weren't a bunch of the questions on the most recent vital user survey designed to get some kind of insight into brand loyalty? I don't remember perfectly but I thought it was a lot of 1. From whom did you buy? 2. From whom are you considering buying? Do we get to see some of those data sometime soon? Is...

Booing at the finish line and during the medal ceremony is very poor form IMO. Pidcock won fair and square.

Well, I don't class myself as much of an XC fan, but what Pidcock just achieved was nothing short of amazing. One of the most exciting finishes to a race I've ever seen.

I don't know what the consensus is regarding the Paris XCO track, but two things to say: 1. It's rad that MTB is represented in the Olympics 2. XC is becoming bad ass - this is such a sick shot!

All analogy is suspect but 😉 A laptop computer communicating with a wireless access point is smart. Communicating with a wireless mouse is a mostly harmless gimmick with some legitimate convenience added in some cases. Communicating internally wirelessly, like motherboard to daughter to storage etc, is kind of ridiculous. It’s a job wires are especially well suited to. I’m willing...

I'm guessing there are some riders reading the forums who help organize races and thought some might enjoy seeing these fun medals. I don't know the people behind the company (Stay Rad Awards) that does these, so I hope this comes across like sharing something new to me that I like about what someone's doing in cycling. The volunteers working...

A bit after the 7 minute mark stuff on the new status starts, 170 coil rear + 200mm boxxer version shorter travel (140?) 27.5/26 version Stumpys mudguard has turned up, downtube protector, not sure what all the stuff is down the non driveside. External routing points? Also saw this over on instagram, colourway matches that website that is listing the old spec for the 24 170 version

If we're sharing our wishlists, I'd like to suggest that everyone who makes an argument like "because physics" kindly show your work. On the topic of the sciences, the goal typically is the characterize the size of the difference. It's a tell whenever an argument takes the form of "less weight" or "more traction" (i.e. "A and B are different")...
