Flex! As Falcon mentioned: "in reality, flex will help you out". So true! I've been riding a way too flexy, steel prototype. Pretty extreme geometry, so at first I didn't notice the flex at all, since the geometry took all my learning efforts. And after 4 weeks of pretty extreme terrain, there was never a moment that the lack of stiffness made riding harder. Going back to a 'regular' aluminium bike after those 4 weeks was an eye opener. I was all over the place, couldn't hold a straight line anymore, was taking inside lines everywhere and outside lines after...

Just add an air ramp up chamber already, like Manitou, Ohlins, and EXT, instead of the stupid tokens, that I have to depressurize the fork and open it up. Do they still use tokens because it's more profitable? I guess the aftermarket has us covered with the Diaz Runt.

Is the problem with transition knob tires that: the side knobs tend to be too short, or that the extra knobs cause the tire to float more on soft surfaces? If an Assegai had taller side knobs, would that make up the difference? My favorite front tie has been the WTB Vigilante.
