6/12/2026 5:50pm I’m all for it. It sucks Luca didn’t make finals because I’m a big fan too, but this just shows how insane the talent level is right now and how brutally hard World Cup downhill has become. There are no easy finals anymore. The cream will still rise, though. By the end of the season Luca will end up somewhere...

6/1/2026 3:20pm They tired to slow a very fast track down this year by making lines tighter and adding in some extra turns/chicanes. I believe this is what lead to far more DQ's, nothing to do with tape/poles. The guys know where their going, they are just trying to do it as fast as possible. With how fast the track was and some of those intentional new turns, it made it very easy to get off line with little room for correction.

5/31/2026 7:58pm I think it has more to do with the speed they are carrying, the gradient of the slope, and the lack of trees. They are straight hauling so any little mistake and you are traveling a pretty good distance in the wrong direction real quick. The slope is pretty steep in the bottom where a lot of people are going off, they are trying to hold on a off camber with the worse dust and loose rocks showing up off line so miss your rut and all of a sudden you are along for the ride. The course is pretty...

5/31/2026 7:57pm To say riders wouldn’t have dsq’d today if there were tape would be a huge underestimation of the prep these riders put into a race run. Once race day comes along they aren’t seeing flags or tape anymore, just their line. Now I would argue that tape can sometimes be less confusing for the viewer on the broadcast but I think the lack of plastic waste and not getting tangled in the tape is worth that small trade off.

5/30/2026 9:50am Strong disagree. At the point where you are taking quali laps you know exactly where you're going and where the course is. Tape wouldn't have made it any different.

5/30/2026 9:06am Jackson’s DSQ had nothing to do with the poles themselves, other than the wind blowing him outside of them. If it had been tape instead, the same thing happens except he’s tangled up in tape too.

12/19/2025 5:39am When I refer to "manpower" I am talking about our in-house capacity. We manufacture/assemble our posts in Taiwan in our own facilities with our own team of now 13 people. That means every single post is assembled by ourselves, not, as it is otherwise often the case, by a "partner"/factory/assembler who is contracted to do all the sourcing, manufacturing, assembly to get the product ready in the box to sell. We draw every single part, source the suppliers, have them made, get them to us and then put everything together in our own facilities with our own machines. No post...

10/31/2025 5:50pm Cut ‘em. Give me a 90 minute broadcast of top 20 men and top 10 women on tracks that feature more range in technicality (ie bus stops, ultra tech, high speed sections, jumps/rhythms, and sections that exemplify cornering prowess). Make the junior category a category that gives riders 5 years to point out of, sort of like the 250 class in moto. If you can’t cut it in the b category and get enough points to race elites, then you have to go back to being a national/continental racer. This category would ideally be designed for riders ages 17-22 (u23...

9/8/2025 5:10pm There is a growing scene here. While things were regressing about 12-15 years ago, the last 7+ have seen major growth. We went from zero bike parks to five (two government-funded), loads of trail centers, a few "official," but most not so official, and government-funded pump tracks. The number of riders has been increasing, yet the mountain bike race scene has been dying. But that's more of an issue with event organizers seeing gran fondos as exponentially more profitable. Riders would love to have a proper race series again, rather than just a few events a year, and this is...

9/4/2025 10:24pm probaby unpopular opinion, but i find champery to be fairly unexciting to watch due to the large number of berm/180 corners and lower speeds (which i know are mind-bogglingly fast for the actual track itself). the few sections where they're opened up for a moment and hitting stuff are great...that quick off-camber grass section into that left is rad. jackson's POV did a solid job of showing how insanely steep it is. i doubt i could even get down that track in one piece on bike or feet, but from a not-in-person, side-of-the-track viewing standpoint, it's a miss for me...
