Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.

Isn't Durango hosting the world MTB champs in a few years time?
2030 for World Champs with, I believe, expectation for a race there in 2029 as well as a "test" event.
Those are rumors I wouldn't belive. DV hates DH racing. To go from no DH races for years and years to a World Cup would be a huge jump for them.
My feeling is DV Hates most things.... except deep pockets and bad taste. 😂.
Would not be surprised at a WC DH in Utah, near Park City. But DV would be strange.
And yes to the above...2029 WC in Durango with 2030 World Champs. So stoked to have another Worlds here.
I think the funniest thing is all the chatter about how loose and rocky South Korea was.
Can you imagine a Deer Valley track in late summer/early fall when it hasn’t rained in two months and you put a few hundred WC racers down it for four days?
Oh yeah, 18 inch ruts everywhere, just like the track at Solitude after the monster energy dh. Honestly, I can see the world cup coming to Solitude way before it goes to Deer Valley, if they expand the park further up the mountain the way they've been talking about it, that could be a sweet track.

Results from the IXS in Fort William had some upsets last weekend.
First year elite privateer racer Noa Walker in second in front of some big name factory dudes!
Was just reminded listening to the OTB podcast that Neko Mulally did it in Cairns in 2014- crashed and got third.
I went and looked at his Roots and Rain and it gets crazier! That was his best result ever at an elite World level event, and only podium at a World Cup. If we include World Champs, his only other podium was in 2014 in Norway when he got 4th... without a chain. Neko somehow performs at his best only under the highest pressure.
Damn, this is RAD. Full Honda DH team vibes from back in the day. Here's a first taste of what Antidote Solutions is bringing to the downhill racing table now, and we will have more info including the technical details to reveal at the Loudenvielle World Cup. Fun times ahead!

It feels like it's been quite a while since the start of WC Downhill season, but now it gets pretty busy: If I'm counting correctly there are 5 races in the next 7 weeks. I'll gladly take that!

^ Boyfriend and girlfriend finish in first. I'm guessing that's something that doesn't happen very often in mountain bike competitions, but then I don't really know much about the personal lives of professional bike racers.
Didn't realize it was based on placement not time. Interesting that a few people had better times than people ahead of them. Probably makes sense with the different course lengths. But probably a bummer for Ostgaard, would have been on the podium if it was time based.
Hard MTB League quick recap video. Full race replay should be out soon, too.
Rare in general, not rare for that particular duo.
Dan Booker off enduro as well….
Especially in the US based series...
started a Loudenvielle World Cup forum topic here - https://www.vitalmtb.com/forums/hub/2026-loudenvielle-world-cup-downhill - start lists were just sent out. FYI, there is no lawlor at this round but we'll have pit bits photos from Rick and Fantasy will get rolling too.
Did you mean Entries list?
yes.

Registration for Monster Pro DH Solitude is now open - https://www.bikereg.com/monster-energy-pro-downhill-series
I'm ready, this year is going to be great.
Agreed. I really enjoy that series.
They need to stop giving UCI ideas
I don’t get it. They’ve already done this implicitly, haven’t they? We all know the current setup is going to mean shorter careers…if a rider is 0-for-30 making finals, it’s probably time to pack it up.
