Hey everyone, this is TJ. Tariffs aren't fixed to factory cost, or wholesale or retail. They're calculated based on the specific transaction price. The example we used is accurate for an ecomm purchase, shipped from our warehouse in Canada. If a retailer ordered the same short and we charged them half the price ($100), the same tariff percentage would apply, so tariffs would be $145 for a total cost to the retailer of $245. If the retailer sells that short to a customer and maintains their dollar margin the short would be $345 to the end user - however if...

haha you are right and I am sorry, I didn't mean to derail the thread so much. All I really wanted to do was defend Enduro as I agree with a lot that has been said above, it's mainly a perception issue, so I am trying to shift perception and bring some positivity into the discipline. That was the reason for the Jack/Sram comment and trying to make it less about Sram pulling Enduro funding, and also the Chris Ball comment, which did not go over well, but that one I'll accept and I will keep trying with him. I'll...

Technically I don't get paid by SRAM either. They support the Canyon factory team that I am a part of, who pays me. That isn't to say they don't support me, but I don't have a contract with them. Factory teams are generally bolstered by sponsorship deals to increase the budget they have. YT went the route of 'uncaged' which meant they were fitting the whole bill and allowing their riders to run whatever they wanted, not taking any sponsorship money so the riders weren't forced into anything. Or so I understand it. So Jack would still get paid as...

Oh word. So, could I forgo the extra cable inside the frame if I just pull out my dropper to charge it? Also if your not on an internal routed cable frame and your wires come out by your BB, do you have plans for a shorter charging cord. Overall this is pretty neat.

I can help with the must eats: a combination of lapas, bolo do caco and ponchas. Repeat 3x or 4x a day and throw in an occasional typical beef skewer. Man I miss that place

Nah. I enjoyed Brain Cahal's (hey assholes!) Bronson comparison, except I too have ridden multiple generations of Bronsons, and guess what, there is a BIG effing difference. The problem as I see it is 3 fold: 1) It was a known regular track, they knew exactly where they were going and that isn't the same as riding your best on a less well known trail. 2) The climbing didn't matter, hello STA & CS length! 3) They are 2 very good riders and that makes up for a lot. Less capable riders are going to be more sensative to HTA...

Going off some reviews, it was questioned if the shock was a good enough reason to upgrade to the new bike.. The previous Stumpy Evo was considered to be a pretty good bike by most accounts.. If it was my money, a heavily discounted previous gen bike sounds pretty good to me if you have the 2 bikes side by side..

Fully agree. We'll see how 2025 pans out, but 2024 seems to be at the trendline of pre-covid era growth, with the added revenue that those years brought in. I'm curious about how much they're putting into R&D on the cycling business, because as you say, their product line continues quite boring, and gladly so Smile
