5/7/2026 3:06am I had a 5010 a few years ago and it was a blast. Really showed me that short travel VPP is really to my liking... I suppose I just wanted a lighter Tallboy, yes, but with those 120mm and VPP.

Very nice race build! Don't pass on Specialized tires,they are very good. Fast Trak front with Air Trak rear is a great combo for hardpack,or Ground Control F,Fast Trak rear if it's loose.

Hey all, I can finally take off my very sneaky blue tape camouflage to reveal that yes, I’m reviewing the new Nomad. Because I’ve spent so many years on the old Megatower, I’m framing this as a Megatower vs. Nomad comparison. Especially interesting for me because of the rumors that the Megatower is going away and the new Nomad does not take 29” rear wheels. I can speak to clothing as I run a tiny MTB apparel brand, Abit Gear. The short story is that for USA brands, tariffs are making it a royal PITA and covid saw a glut of inventory that isn't yet cleared. Sure, margins are good on paper, but you have a SKU problem with apparel do to size and color variants, you have to carry a lot of aged inventory, and fight discounting from competitors more than with hard goods.
