Radic, then Intend I'd say Maven and Saint are similar amounts of deadstroke but power ramps up faster on Mavens, so you get more power for a shorter distance.

What advantage is there to wetting the fork in a certain travel range?

I've tried bionol, putoline and maxima , tbh I didn't notice any difference. I haven't had bionol filled brakes hot enough to fade mind you. Get whatevers easier/cheaper. I've used putoline the most of all. I reckon it's cheaper cos it's NOT listed as a brake fluid haha. Putoline in 1l was like 40 bucks NZ delivered haha.
I think so yeah. I do like how the maven caliper stays bolted on during bleeding and bleeding edge is way better too. The bleed port is a natural high spot too which is great. I do wonder how much of a bitch it will be to diagnose a sticky piston further down the track in a maven it's just...
Gave the trickstuff maven combo a decent run. I have a track that will make most brakes fade and will expose problems real quick. I kept the front pure maxima to ensure I defo would have a working brake at one end lol. The triven combo went pretty good to be fair, it's got good modulation the top was muddy...

I mentioned spoke clearance with the Intends earlier, this kindof shows it it’s a non issue with standard steel spokes, but using anything with a larger diameter than normal and you risk hitting the caliper. It’s a beefy boi at 43mm wide. It’s 16mm from pad cutout to the outside towards the wheel. Most others I measured were 38ish total and 12-14mm from pad cutout I ran several wheels and had no issue except for the HAWK30X that are 4.5mm at the base. They just barely hit.

I'll pre-empt the inevitable butthurt about the below by saying that all of these options are good. They are all powerful, all reasonably easy enough to work on, and all (mostly) consistent. I mainly say that because people adore Saints and I found them to be the weaker in almost every category compared to others, but still good. I'd also caveat that "power" is somewhat misunderstood IMO. Most people don't have the means to measure overall, total available power, rather they base it on how the brakes feel. A brake like the Maximas may have a ton of overall power...

Haha, maven calipers have several advantages over the maximas. Mostly bleed related. They are beefy Bois that's for sure! Bottom loading pads suck though. I think their pad massage step is shit too. Seems risky to jam something against clean pads to me. A thinner bleed block would be easier. The seals in them are awfully sticky too, TS smokes...

I mean I’d never bother touching Sram stuff if I had Trickstuff but props to you for doing some experiments

Re: bionol, I just use putoline hpx instead. Seems to do the business. Maxima bite point should feel super defined, otherwise it's not bled correctly. But yah, beyond bite they don't feel as defined as a dominion for example. Does anyone else think a graph of lever force vs brake torque generated would've been nice to know?

What a depressing set of comments today. Biking is a hobby, people can enjoy it as they wish. Get over yourselves and let people be happy. Complaints about other peoples opinions are not tech rumors.

Not all pros are anal and picky about their setup and just ride what they get. They are simply fast. Some need to tinker to hell and back. It's the same with average riders, some thinker and some just ride. There is no sense to bemoan people that take a different approach to riding. As long as they articulate their feelings and can defend them rationally, it's all good in my book. Same goes for the Yeti vs. Specialized choice, if you can defend the choice of the Yeti by saying "I want what I want" it's much better than...
