3/4/2024 3:50pm I don't understand how getting people into MTB is a problem?? Whilst there are some inherent negatives as you have suggested, the net result is more people in the sport = more money whether that be in the way of local funding for trails/maintenance by councils as they actually start to view it as a majority sport as opposed to a minority sport as it used to be. Membership fees for local clubs increase and local bike shops investing back into the community (pointless having a bike shop if there is no local community). This is 100% the result in...

3/3/2024 2:16am I got to do a carpark test of mavens today, sram did kinda shit the bed with the lever effort required. But a pretty rowdy brake none the less. I kinda look at like you're gonna giving that amount of squeeze if you're wanting to stop fast, if you're a brake dragger maybe they're not for you. I'd happily run...

2/22/2024 12:33am codes have pretty awful power considering it's sram's DH brakes, the force needed to the lever is always too much to have some decent stopping power at the rotor, Dominions, dhr evo, hope v4, mt7, these are all way more powerful and with a much lighter lever. therefore they need to step up their game with the Mavens

2/21/2024 11:03pm Considering codes have fvck all power I can see that being easily possible 😅

2/18/2024 9:51pm If my memory serves me correvtly they made 50 bikes with spares. The dh bike was made with a prototype mold, I believe that can bypass a normal production slot to bang out frames quicker. Downside being prototype molds are only good for a certain number of frames before I assume they go out of tolerance. Maybe 100 or so...

1/8/2024 10:08am Yeah it's a Dissent but with all his regular parts on it, so he's basically just done a frame swap. Not sure if it's because he's signed for Nukeproof, or just testing out the Dissent though, as he could be shopping around for a sponsor or as a privateer wanting to simply buy a frame. I wouldn't be surprised if he got it via Adam Brayton too given that they are good mates and probably ride the same size frame

1/3/2024 12:23pm I know it's Rumours, so we're not supposed to stamp them out...but people gotta stop thinking Gwin is gonna dump WC to go full time WindRock. It's absurd. Neko & Sean ran it for several years now without having to be present full time. Sean's infrastructure & logistics blueprint is firmly in place & peak summer isn't as demanding of ownership as fall/winter/spring. Hart & Atherton's have parks they don't drop WC for. It's a silly thought.

1/3/2024 12:22pm I appreciate the hope you all have for frameworks but I think a lot of you are holding it up to be the next syndicate-esque mega team or something. This is literally a passion project that Neko started very recently. He’s accomplished a lot but let’s not start assuming every big name is headed there.

1/2/2024 11:59am @mcfadden999 and anyone else responding to him, guess what? there's an entire forum where you can start a new topic dedicated to one specific thing and you can develop that topic into the minutia it deserves. no more cascade review crap in this thread. hooray for babysitting grown adults in 2024!
