I'm currently running a Range that I've fitted a 200mm 40 to and removed a 2.5mm stroke spacer from the shock to get ~180mm travel out back. i'm pretty blown away to have to say this to grown adults (i assume) in our forum, but every time someone trolls or says something you don't like, quoting it and explaining why it's lame/unsavory/kooky/political only makes the thing you dislike live on for days. in the history of the internet, has anyone ever changed their mind and said "you're right," after being challenged/critiqued/criticized/called out in a forum? not that i'm aware of. the garbage has been moderated for now. if you don't like something said here, use the thumbs down, move on, watch it die and it'll be forgotten...

Speaking of Pinkbike, the Troy Brosnan podcast contained info that Kade ran out of helmets (by breaking them), indeed ran Jackson's helmet with Fox logos covered and 100 % intervened, preventing him from racing.

Me too, honestly I can’t say I feel the torsional stiffness in a good or bad way. But the fore-aft stiffness is hugely noticeable especially when landing something big

I have a dorado, she's a wet noodle torsionally alright. Sometimes the bars don't point where the wheel is out of a corner 😅 It's wonderful in a straight line though, esp under braking.

It really is amazing how narcissistic Euro DH racers are. They train all winter long to be the fittest nerds on 2 wheels & on the weekend it comes down to being the fittest, they whine. For crying out loud, I've sprinted that whole mountain on a muddy weekend with a fresh course & passed bike design company owners walking in their race runs. haha surprisingly not that bad...but the timber trail is pretty flat. And with a bunch of bikepacking gear I'm sure everything feels slow. I don't know the weight but it's pretty dang heavy like yours.
