3/11/2026 10:29am Has anybody heard anything about a new mezzer and/or that new dorado prototype that was spotted last year? I remember hearing manitou's fork dynos were very busy a while back when they started liquidating their current mezzers for so cheap. The talk about a coil prototype makes me curious what they're up to.

3/11/2026 10:25am Looks Solid. Having ridden the V1 Spur for the last few years, I'm not crazy about flex stays. Since Evil isn't releasing a short travel bike this year, the Reya just moved to the top of my list for a new frame.

3/11/2026 7:40am It is refreshing to see a short travel bike without flex stays. This would be top of my list of I was looking for a full suspension down country bike.

3/11/2026 7:37am You gotta play the game...drop some hints. We can play yes or no. Is it a sub 50lbs dh ebike with 150nm of torque and a solid state 1500wh battery? New solid state ebike batteries that charge in 5 minutes AND Rocky is installing ebike fast charging stations at the Dumpsters?

3/10/2026 10:58am Yoshimura and Renthal ring a bell as the og triple og’s here. Got no problems with auto/moto brands jumping on the bandwagon. But, sometimes their products suck real bad and you’re almost always paying more for that brand name. Can’t wait till Gucci or Luis Vuitton come out with the highest bling at the highest cost with the worst performance that deep pocket nerds must have at all costs.

3/9/2026 10:42am That isn’t Grice’s bike. He’s borrowing one of last year’s bikes from a buddy until the fresh produce is ripe. (Source: that’s what he told me on the Shuttle )

3/9/2026 6:38am I'm not saying that isn't a Manitou coil shock but the spring retention piece is very similar/same as a Vorsprung Telum: I'm fortunate enough to have a Telum and walked out to my garage to verify the shape as my first impression seeing the photo of that shock was 'that looks familiar'. You could say I was...bites knuckle...shocked. Not sure why Manitou hasn't made a coil shock in ages though so intrigued if it is a Manitou for sure.

3/5/2026 10:46am The 8112 and 5100 are intentionally digressive like that as it's very beneficial for rock crawling and going slow in general, just like how ICON and ADS do valving. Bilstein's off road race series (9000 numbers) are very similar design wise to a King or Fox like we run in Baja, valve it the way you want and it'll be...

3/5/2026 10:37am I have heard from a LBS that Norco should have a new affordable simple Horst link DH option like around 6k CAD for a complete DH bike with Rockshox Select suspension for this spring-summer.

3/5/2026 10:36am Some big automotive companies probably noticed the bike-biz-boom around 2021, some people saw $$$, then corporate hierarchies and decision-making kicked in, in glacial speeds, and now that the first ripe products trickle in, there is a bike-biz-slump. And makes it look like there was bad timing or wrong intel. But that is just my uninformed guesstimate.

3/5/2026 10:35am Wow, there really seems to be a resurgence in auto industry crossover product development lately...for reasons I can't really understand, given the stagnation in the bike industry.🤨 Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing someone drive up to the trailhead with a car equipped with Dunlop tires, Bilstein shocks, and Brembo brakes, with a bike on the rack with a matching setup. Maybe we can get Recaro to start making saddles, and Momo to start making bars and grips to keep the party rolling.

3/4/2026 11:06am Maybe Bilstein lied about stopping to get us to stop talking about it... take that with a grain of tinfoil hat.
