Apologies for the pedantry but you should use a micrometer, not a caliper as many worn rotors have a bit of lip above the brake track and caliper arms will rest on that giving an inaccurate reading. You can also use a dental tool called a Boley Gauge which are often cheaper than micrometers

Personally I find Dakotah a heck of a lot easier to relate to than someone like Jackson. Just a hard working dude from a similar part of the same country as me, also with questionable hair styles, that has overcome some adversity and doesn't mind getting his hands dirty at home. The podcast plays a big oart in It, at least for me (I'm a spaniard). You get a look behind the scenes and to "live" the WC thru his eyes, so there is a familiarity that others don't have, add to that he is a cool cat , normal dude and you get why he's loved around these parts. My experience mirrors yours that the Argotal in 2.6 on a 35 internal rim is an absolutely horrible tire for cornering grip on hardpack. The knobs fold over so soon that it makes you unable to corner aggressively when your trails are rock and hardpack. On soft surfaces, the Argotal is really good. My experience with the Kryptotal and Assegai is that they're both worse than DHF/DHR on rock/hardpack, but the Assegai is passable while the Kryptotal still folds the shoulder lugs too easily.
