9/3/2026 9:23am Thanks CNutt. Those dt swiss drivers are expensive, so probably be about the same price for HG driver and cassette or xd driver cassette. Guess I will just get decision fatigue and not do anything like I normally do.

None that I am aware of. Ran into this issue on my DH bike and just made the move to an HG driver and GX cassette.

An interesting behavior that doesn’t get talked about as much is for hub based devices like the DEF DF and Sidekick is the amount of free rotation you get is dependent on what gear you’re in. Smaller cogs have less freedom than bigger cogs so you end up with the opposite of what you’d ideally want. Lots of free rotation in climbing gears and little free rotation in descending gears.
