The main point to acknowledge is that there's little to no advantage to a shorter travel bike in these areas. I'm western alberta, and do most of my riding in BC. There's a geographical correlation there as well with the popularity of different manufacturer's geometry flavours, particularly in f/r ratios. You couldn't pay me enough money to ride a pivot here, but I'd happily use one in arizona.

Yes, I think annual threads is the format I would also prefer. As others have pointed out, this thread specifically thrives on a healthy mix of actual tech rumors and lighthearted banter / memes. But for that, the conversation needs some sort of continuity. To get that continuity, but also not eat up too many resources on the Vital servers, I think yearly servers would be the best solution.

Quick question @sspomer not that I want to delve into vitalmtb's business here... but is thread qty important to vitals business/website and a contributing factor to this? I think all of us would agree that this website/community is important to us... so if there are things that need to change or things we're doing that are impacting the site's success, we would want to play by a rule set that facilitates that. I'm currently doing a long term test of the Maven Base for Vital, after running the Maven Ultimate for a long time. I'm super impressed with the lever feel on the Maven Base. There's way more modulation and control compared to the Ultimate, which felt much more like an on/off switch and took a long time for me to get used to. I prefer the feel of the Base brake more, although it has less total stopping power. Could be just what you're looking for you want more power but don't want the on/off feel of the Ultimate. 32" front and back is only gonna be unequivocally better for people of a certain height or better, and peeps gotta keep it real in that regard. With the technicality of modern XC courses, a 32" wheel for someone too short is gonna be a liability I.M.O. We need a new term for 32" front 29" rear. How about Mega-mullet?!
