I think 2 Chainz might be more efficient than a high pivot idler setup. The small chain has excellent wrap and chain line so it really wouldn't be much efficiency loss, leaving you with a normal drive train (assuming the chain line isn't much worse because of it).

Things are moving. For the initial public release, we're going all-in on grassroots racing, the "Strava-like" activity tracking pirate ship will come later. From my point of view, grassroots racing is where the gap (and my passion) is, and it's where we can deliver something genuinely better from day one. The upside: Garmin integration ships with iOS/Android/web app launch. If we see the traction we're expecting, we can build all sorts of cool activity tracking stuff, but it just doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with that. Happy to answer questions. Cheers

Dialed was fantastic with all of it, the stories, the editing, and all around fun by Shaffer, and Jake. Killer work. It is sorely missed, and a shame that Fox shut it down. It was the essence of the World Cup week. One day I hope it makes a comeback.

Gwin is a full part of the team. They approached shared sponsors and combined all budgets to make the finances work. Sounds like Gwin gets paid what he is used to, and Frameworks probably makes out with more budget and even more attention from sponsors and fans now that Gwinner is with them.

Its definitely a thing. Very hard not to customise any vehicels. I bought a nice mtb before christmas, told the wife that this one is perfect as it comes… and here i am, after replacing the dropper i now shop for a new set of brakes. I didnt have the courage yet to confess that there might be a new shock laying around that happens to bolt on the new bike straight away… im up for any advices..

My "I'm going to keep it stock" car now has wider tires, thicker sway bars (man those were a pain in the rear to install),catch can, Berry's paddle shifters, tinted windows (that barely counts as modification), and I'm shopping for wheels. That reminds me, I need to sell the set of wheels I have in the basement from my previous...

Yo boys! Let’s see if I can convey this topic correctly… so us MTB nerds like to outfit out bikes and modify them from stock. Whether it be a complete frame up build or buying a complete and transforming it into your own creation. It’s definitely a unique trait that we have. I’m wondering what else does this carry over into for you guys? For example I can’t keep my truck “stock”, every truck I buy I HAVE to alter the suspension, wheels, tires etc to suit my liking and achieve a certain look to make it stand out from...

Didn't Pinkbike have an article ready to go before they received a legal letter? That might be why there haven't been any "bottom-getters".

I think the other racers could learn a thing or two from Aaron with how he conducts himself. this interview is a prime example of a professional athlete getting the news out about new deals, and letting us in behind the scenes so to speak of how these deals come together and how it can work in a race season. Kudos to Aaron, Frameworks team and Vital for providing this. Good luck on the season ahead!

Time patented ATAC in 1998, that would have expired by now, so I'm presuming anyone can make a similar system? As a time pedal user I'm surprised more people haven't copied it. It works so well. But I guess it does have more natural float than an SPD

For me personally it's a matter of me not wanting to buy tools for these suspension items when I don't want to continue with them longer than I have to. The local mechanic just have one price for suspension service, so I don't feel it's worth to do a small service when I also plan on swapping these items out anyhow. (And the fact my season is so short that I haven't racked up that many hours since the last full service anyhow, so I think it's fine)

Thats the thing about servicing suspension though, if you stay current you prevent a lot of wear and performance degradation. A fresh lower service feels better for a couple rides, but I don't notice damper service at all since the damper was still working before service.
