Yes, they did. DW approached them with the design, and they declined. Suddenly they "invented" ABP on their own and released it before DW had it on any bikes. There was a lawsuit over this: https://www.bicycleretailer.com/north-america/2012/09/07/weagle-sues-tr… DW did not win, though: https://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/Judge-Rules-Treks-ABP-Design-Does-No…

Fox Liked a comment about Feature Single Crown vs Dual Crown Fork: Which One is the Best for Enduro?

Dave seems to really dig the Mezzer. Anyone else care to comment on that? Dave. thanks for taking the time to make this vid and keep it honest and insightful. It was a blast to watch and truly had me laughing out loud, especially the Giro coach consultation. As an aging masters racer am I gonna go out and get myself a custom dual crown? Not likely. I'll run what I brung and hope a few extra intervals will make up the difference, because it sounds like it's pretty close at this point! Cheers!

If the industry had stayed with 26" wheels, there would be no need for dual crown "enduro" forks, 223mm brake rotors, 4-piston brakes on light-duty trail bikes, etc, but with 29" wheels there's so much more leverage and inertia. A 29" 170mm fork is over an inch taller than a 26" 170 fork, typically with less bushing overlap. They twist, they bend, they flex, and they creak. Most of all, they feel sketchy in really rough/steep/fast terrain. Haven't ridden the new crop of 38mm single crown forks, but at 190 pounds and 6'3" I can substantially support the argument that...

I have to disagree. The new Tyee is a nice bike. Let's see how the Spindrift will look like. One thing's for sure: They have a winning business model.

You can laugh at me, but 13 winters ago it was bought as a budget item for what was to become my first proper DH bike. It was put on a way too small for me '99 GT Lobo frame (I'm 6 foot 3) and was run with a mixture of old and new parts. The frame already had 2 national titles under its belt and was one of the first proper DH bikes to hit these shores back in the day. I actually lived together with our National Champ of back then when our buddy brought him the bike...

I don't exactly know how we got to OG Super T's and Mr. T's, but if this isn't the place to brag that I own a polished OG Super T just like the one above, then where? :D Mine came from a Sintesi Bazooka (I have no clue what happened to it) and it initially had some team-green decals. The disc caliper mount was made from the lowest grade aluminium, was very brittle and broke easily. I had stainless steel replacements made while I rode that fork. I also have a Mr. T, but it's less sexay than the Super...
