I couldn’t disagree more! After having a couple bikes with frame storage, it’s a must have feature for me. It gets oppressively hot here in Georgia for a good chunk of the year so wearing a backpack is a no go. I was an early adopter of the hip pack to keep stuff off my back. Previously that meant strapping stuff to my frame. But that leaves your tube exposed to the elements and there’s nothing worse than needing a tube and finding out it has a hole worn in it. Now, I can fit my whole fix it kit...

I like shimano brakes a lot more than sram (I’ve yet to try the mavens tho) but you have to admit dot is objectively better than mineral oil.

Alternate ending: Rider shrugs and heads back up for more laps. Rather than endlessly fiddling with shock settings, they just get used to how the bike rides. They get faster, more confident, more faster, more confident. Lap times tumble, the confidence is there. Come finals the heavens open while they’re waiting to drop. Other riders scramble, calling Jordie asking for wet settings, stressing out. Our rider looks down at the frame, their fate sealed just as the shock below them. Shrugs. They couldn’t do anything even if they wanted to. They drop. The confidence. Bike and rider as one they...

or maybe THE UNION gets 7-figure funding since they're doing better than most of the full factory teams 🤩

100% Agree. Imagine walking into your local bike shop wanting to update your aging mondraker enduro bike. - Hello, I'm looking for a new enduro bike. - Ah yes, take a look at this Foxy. - No, sorry I must not have been clear, I want an enduro bike, like 160mm of travel, not a trail bike. -Foxy it is! Oh well, we call it the superfoxy now and it is 170/160mm. -Oh ok, sorry I didn't keep up with the name changes, but can I still get a Dune? -Of course sir, right this way, 170/165mm hard hitter, beautiful...

Correct. I helped lay out the new tune names etc. We had the issue where a M tune on a Super Deluxe did not match the M tune on a Deluxe and that did not match the M tune on VIVID... Also- we had a shock with extra L1, L2, L3 and L4 tunes (in addition to normal L, M and H), they were not spaced evenly and no one could remember if L1 was lighter or heavier than a L2 tune. So we went to numbers that meant something on the dyno. We wanted OEMs to be able to...

1) Worst ergonomics ever? The pod is fine... literally a button for up and down and plenty adjustable. Took me ten mins to dial in and never thought about it again. 2) Transmission clutch is great, completely silent.. old AXS quite literally known for bad clutch issues... 3) Weight is fine, cranks are a little heavy but there's other crank options (which I use). Everything else is on par with XT (derailleur heavier, cassette lighter, balances out) The pricing is frustrating which is understandably why it gets the hate. But saying the performance isn't best in class completely fried. It's...

I really don't understand the wireless hate. It's no worse than cable mechs in my experience. If anything j like it a little more and find it shifts faster. Less cables look nicer. It's just the evolution of bikes, no reason to hate it.

Can we get past the idea that everything has to be the same, but also different. Look, if its not for you, its not for you, but could be for others. I have XT's, Code RSC's, and have spent time on TRP DH EVO's. I prefer the RSC's full stop (pun intended, but only after proof reading) I do not want the light lever feel of TRP's or XT's. I find them vague, and prefer the required force to pull RSC's Some people like different things, so lets stop lamenting that SRAM didnt make a brake for YOU, but instead...

Wow, struggled to make it through that. This is my first DS video, and seems like internet clickbait to me. My thoughts -Obviously SRAM doesnt want you using Shimano rotors, does this need any further explanation other than this appeared to be a prevailing attitude throughout the video. -These arent designed for intermediate or beginner riders, full stop. Its a peak performance product, designed with heavy use gravity riders in mind. As noted by the Extreme Duty++++ designation, so lets assume that Dale at 110lbs isnt the target market -Why wouldnt you test all the options made available, or even...

Perhaps the stiff lever would have remained, we'll never know as he skipped this step in the setup and didn't bother to troubleshoot. Since the manual states the piston massage step is to "improve lever feel" and the review focuses on issues with lever feel, I would say that step in the setup is very important, as other reviewers such as Vital have now pointed out. It's pretty disingenuous to put SRAM on blast to his 280K followers when he didn't take the time to set up the brakes properly - no bleed, no piston massage.

I don't know the person in question, but I can tell you that after 26 years of turning wrenches for a living that neither being an engineer or a good (even great) rider absolutely DOES NOT mean that you know how to work on bikes.
