I think for someone looking for a 27.5 bike that actually doesnt look too bad for the price. Shimano xt, DT swiss wheels, and marzocchi suspension. Might not be great value compared to some of the discounts but it isnt bad

Does anyone know exactly what they did to kinematics? Looking at the geo it is actually the same as the old scout but with the top sizes taken off. Im also wondering if the cascade link would still fit it cause it looks pretty much the same if you fit a medium or under.

No offense, but my hunch is that a $900 no-name dual crown for Surrons probably rides like a $900 no-name dual crown for Surrons. If you want to jump on that grenade to find out for the rest of us, I salute you, but I don't imagine RFloXa is killing themselves to sort out the finer points of suspension dynamics for the mostly beginner, mostly pavement-pounder Surron market in the same way that Fox, RS, EXT, or others in the high-end MTB space do.

The 228mm travel fork is supposed to be compatible with bigger wheels whereas the 203mm one is only for smaller 559mm (26in) wheels

I think it also probably also has alot to do with what the racers are riding. Racing seems to get more exposure then freeride so its better marketing. Dont get me wrong, there are still alot of people who want full 27.5 but alot of people are going to by mullet just because its what (insert favorite pro racer name...

Im curious if youd have any clearance for a 29er in the front or if your gonna smash your wheel into that bottom crown when you bottom out. They have a 203mm version as well with a progressive spring.

Zink Bikes is dropping a new 27.5” model, I have no clue on geo and specs but this is what I’ve gleamed from ocbikeworks on Insta so far. “150 travel and it’s possible to run 26” in the back, but all the material shared with us suggests it’s meant for 27.5 without any mods. $1650 retail for the frame.” And like all shops they hook up the discount on parts to build it up. Has me intrigued for sure.

in a far corner of my shitbox den lurks this beauty. One day her time will come again. you know those barnfinds with old porsches and mercedes gullwings in America, I'll be the Australian version of old 90's mtb. If I had hair I'd get it permed.

Scott Ransom has long chainstays. Dunno about dropper insertion though.

The standard air can for aftermarket shocks looks like the "linear" one which has a smaller negative chamber. This is the same company that shrunk fork air spring negative chambers again between B1 and C1 generation forks around 2021. Then re-increased negative volumes for 2023..... "progressive" has a larger negative chamber (so actually a less variable spring rate but overall force characteristic will be higher/more supportive/'coil like' ie closest megneg equivalent) and linear XL increases positive and negative chamber volume which I assume has similar rate curve to the linear can but at lower pressures So yeah I looked in...

Not a rumor but question for you guys. I got a frameworks enduro ordered cause i like the geo of it. Any ebikes you'd recommend with a pretty long chain stay and long dropper insertion? Around 450-460mm reach

That makes no sense at all. That said, I suspect that Fazua will have the updated 480 batteries available and who knows, maybe some motor updates, that will drop in to an already perfectly dialed chassis.

It was a couple years back. They didn't creak, but the ramp teeth had worn down to nubs and shift quality had deteriorated dramatically. The drivetrain was setup by a shop, so theoretically it was installed correctly. Shimano warrantied both of them then I sold the system to go bleep bloop.

I didn’t know what you were trying to show in the photos until I scrolled further down and you said 4, but even that is designed differently. The bottom and right ends are square on the Lewis and the cut throughs are in different locations.
