Couldnt agree more. I could only afford 1 and was trying to decide between the 2. And im a sucker for limited so when i saw only 100 of the enduro being made i ordered that and then got the limited edition worlds o chain. Plus the more grass roots look of the frameworks is kinda cool with a gold...

Will do. The Atherton seems more refined but the Frameworks one is more exciting to me. I have little doubt both will be excellent but they’re different enough to find things to discuss.

Not sure that I got any real deals but, for me, I have bought seven new bikes this year. Not all of them have arrived yet. I've also bought a Liv e-mtb for my wife and a couple of bikes for my boys (almost 2 years old and 6 years old). In looking at my history though, this is pretty normal for me over the last 6 years. If you really want a list (mine only): Generation 3 Pivot Switchblade (XTR build, stripped and upgraded to what I want) S-works Epic 8 Mondraker Neat RR SL Transition PBJ Atherton AM...

Also the current tr11 has the cable port in the front of the head tube. Judging by that pic it has cable ports on both sides of the frame. Possibly for dropper post routing also making me think new spire or possibly patrol. I cant tell if thats a 29 or 27.5 rear

The one thing that makes me think it isnt a tr11 is the tapered head tube. The tr11 now is a straight 56 56 and they use their own reach adjust headset. I doubt they would move away from that for a new downhill bike but for the spire a tapered head tube makes more sense than it does for...

It doesnt say on the website but how well is that chainring working with t type? I noticed the flat top chain and i got xo t type and just ordered a o chain too. Im running 30t right now with a mullet but might bump up to 32t

Thanks for the review, this convinced me to buy one. So far I am really surprised by the performance on my short travel single pivot trail bike but it will eventually end up on the RAAW Madonna. With regards to the minimum chainring size on the OChain R, I found the online specs and documentation very confusing. It says everywhere that the minimum size is 32T. We have really steep climbs here in the Canadian Rockies and I like to run a 28-30T. Turns out there is an option! https://pilo.co.il/c38-104bcd-30t-narrow-wide-chainring.html This one fits perfectly and clears the "hump" on the...

I have noticed this graphic on the RS shock on an updated (color, spec wise) Smuggler. I have never seen it before, but it might be nothing. Seems like Transition updated a few bikes with new colors and spec, including Vivid shock on the Patrol.

Could be the wireless dropper that Kazimer mentioned is coming from an existing dropper manufacturer? One that has its battery/actuation at the bottom of the post? Or... just a color/graphic update?

Im hoping they make it in 200mm. My biggest issue with the fox one is the extra insertion depth over a mechanical dropper. I wouldnt be able to slam a 200 down to the collar where as with a pnw or one up i can on the bike im getting

I think we're entering into a new pricing scheme in mtb. And it's happening because human brains are so dumb. Bikes are going to - over time - be priced higher and higher and higher and higher until ebikes and meatbikes (my favorite term for non-e-bikes) are almost the same price. Then mtb riders will start looking at ebikes more as a "why WOULDN'T I just get the ebike?" sort of way. Normalizing the higher meatbike price while directing more people to ebikes. All the while, the mtb industry is Hobby Lobbying the shit out of their prices. All the...
