10/5/2024 10:29am I had a go at Conti kryptotal F in super soft DH My other go to are Pirelli scorpion enduro race M and assegai MaxxGrip, exo+ or DD I wasn’t as thrilled on the kryptotal as the hype had me thinking I would be. Chemical grip is some of the best but the square profile was just a bit too square for me. I can see it being an unreal DH tire. When you’re in the window of traction the grip is unreal, but it’s a smaller margin than you’ll get on a rounder tire profile. Doing repeat runs and...

10/2/2024 12:46am I run global technology programs and have 3 kids and a wife that has a more intense job than I do but I just make it a priority to ride nearly every day and rarely ride the same bike two days in a row. It does help that I can be on a trail in less than 3 min from my garage if I want and do 20 miles regularly before work. I also spend a lot of time on conference calls and during certain times of year I'll ride while on calls that are more me listening than speaking...

9/30/2024 11:12am Don't take it back! You have a point! You'll still find plenty of interesting stuff out there, but you'll probably have to pay (a lot more) for it and it will get pushed more and more to the edges of the market. That's all.

9/29/2024 8:45pm Hoping it's a 180mm freeride/park bike like I've bastardized my Patrol into! It being trunion maybe points to that? The current TR11 is not trunion and the consensus seems to be trunion is just for the packaging being able to fit a water bottle, I'm convinced 170/180mm rear dual crown bikes are the future for rental fleets those of us who don't race DH. Transition totally deserves to be contending with the alliteration of the Status 170 DH, Spindrift, Slayer, and Shore.

9/29/2024 8:42pm Cable ports may be for those in countries who run their brakes on opposite sides without mangling the cable to make it fit the standard routing.

9/29/2024 8:38pm 🤣 I just went out to my garage to take a picture of the fork I have reserved for it… I’m completely aligned with your style and thoughts on this one.

9/29/2024 6:39pm Initial Impressions - Riding on a SJ Evo w Cascade Link, Float X, 18 degree setting. 1) It certainly does something. Others have said you feel like the bike rolls a little faster, and I agree with this. 2) The bike you put it on will have a big impact on how useful it really is. Obviously, the more kickback the bike has the more this product will matter. 3) I don't want to sound like a wet blanket, but most casual riders aren't going to notice a massive difference. I'll keep testing and reserve my right to change my...

9/29/2024 6:36pm Thanks for the detailed answer! Also worth mentioning that 26 degrees of float at the freehub sounds like a ton, but it translates to something like 11.5 degrees of float at the crank if you're in a 34:15 gear combo (34:15 is 2.26:1, pretty standard for the middle of a DH run). 11.5 degrees at the crank is pretty darn similar to the max degrees of float on a new Ochain, and that 12 degree Ochain setting bothered me not at all when I was riding bike park laps, shuttling, or doing winch and plummet riding.

9/29/2024 6:29pm Thank you! I kinda figure that with a chain ring as long as the chain stays on it shouldnt be an issue. I might still try a 32 to see if i can deal with going up 2 teeth but great to know i have an option for a 30t

9/29/2024 6:27pm It works flawlessly. I just did a big ride on it and had no issues with noise or chain retention. In fact I never had issues running "non-t-type" chainrings with transmission. Back when transmission came out, the selection of certified chain rings was non-existent so I used a normal 3 bolt eagle crankset and Garbaruk chainrings without issues. It is funny how much SRAM emphasized on every component in the drivetrain needed to be compliant.
